All moved in down in Adelaide. Huge thankyou to Aston and my mum for heading down today to get us all set up, while I was at work.
Steers arrive tomorrow morning - let the show begin!!!

Two big days of packing and show prep this weekend! Thankful for the sunshine 🌞

The whole team is ready to roll in to Adelaide Royal next week, with the steers going in on Thursday, and the stud team early next week.

If you are around the show at all during the 10 days, feel free to come and find us in the bottom shed, or we will be competing in the Heifer Challenge and the Sires Shootout on the Thursday, and our Red Angus classes on Friday afternoon.

With only a couple of weeks to go before Adelaide Royal, we thought it was time to bring in the two older girls that have been out with the main herd, for a bit of TLC.
Still in their winter Woolies, these two girls have been out on pasture since the end of the show season last year, and are looking a treat!

Had one of those moments today, where the girls were standing in line like this, which made me pause for a moment and really just stop and look at the cows and calves. I am so pleased with the line up of girls in the paddocks at the moment, all thriving doing their jobs with either young calves at foot or in late pregnancy. We may only be a small herd, but I am so happy with the cattle that we are breeding and producing now.
Proud of where we have come from, and excited for where we are heading...

The Beefies are Back!
After a long absence, beef cattle made a brief return to the Yankalilla Show in 2024 — and this year they are well and truly back.

A cold, misty morning today brought with it the beginning of calving for 2026 for us. We have two due now and the rest will follow in a few weeks time, for spring calving.
First thing this morning we were presented with a beautiful bull calf by JD Lann Bonafide 119N out of our T cow Terrorosa.
Looking forward to seeing this fella unfold and grow!
