One crop thatās now in abundance on our farm is baby spinach. It grows best at this cooler time of year, as it has a tendency to bolt in warmer weather.
Youāll notice plenty of grass and weeds growing around our crops, they get turned back into the soil, instead of using herbicides that are harmful to our health.

Thereās no better time than now to support small scale farming, eating locally and seasonally organic grown food, without having to wonder how many pesticides and herbicides youāre ingesting.
After recently watching a 2 part documentary Duped: food exposed on ABC 4 corners, it revealed many dirty secrets about our agriculture industry.
Hereās our thoughts and some important questions for you
Would you shop differently if you knew what was sprayed on your produce?
Shouldnāt you as a consumer have the right to know what chemicals have been used throughout the growing process in our food?
Every pre packaged goods on the supermarket shelf has a list of ingredients and preservatives, so why isnāt the same information available on fruit and vegetables?
Our entire food system seems backwards, why are growers having to pay high certification costs to verify their produce is organic, which only gets passed on to the consumer. Instead of produce needing organic labels, what if it was labeled the other way round and advertised as sprayed.
Should the grower who is applying toxic carcinogenic chemicals on our food be charged a tax to help fund the health issues that are rapidly growing in society.
These are just a few things that are always on my mind, and I feel need a spotlight on them.
