Fish for dogs? 🐟️
Cooked fish is a quality protein source; it's highly digestible and the fats are primarily polyunsaturated fats. Fish is a well known source of omega 3 fatty acids, as well as omega 6. Fish also delivers important vitamins and minerals that help support your dog's health at every stage of life.
Compared to some other protein sources like beef or chicken, fish is often easier to digest, making it a great option for dogs with food sensitivities or allergies. Many varieties are also lower in saturated fat than red meats, which can support weight management and heart health.
Additionally, fish provides essential vitamins and minerals such as vitamin D, B vitamins, and iodine, which are key nutrients contributing to your dog’s overall well-being at every stage of life.
Commonly used safe fish options include (but are not limited to):
-Whitefish

Sardines are a fantastic choice. Their small size makes them easy to serve, and they can be fed with the skin and bones, which add extra nutrients. Just be sure to choose sardines packed in water with no added salt.
