The good sando

The good sando We wanted to make something more accessible to everyone, while still maintaining the same attention to detail that we cherish from our fine dining years.

We are Camila and Germi, and this is our family business, born from our deep love for food and a commitment to bringing homemade, authentic flavors to our community. After years of working as chefs in fine dining, we decided to change direction and take the leap toward independence, allowing us to spend more time with our little one, Maui. Our journey led us to create The good sando, a simple conc

ept that combines high-quality ingredients with flavors inspired by our culinary experiences and personal lives. Through our sandos, we aim to build a personal connection with our customers, offering a taste of quality food in a relaxed set up. This venture is not just about food, it’s about living a life with more time for family and the joy of doing what we love. We also offer catering and private event services, bringing our delicious sandos & more to your special occasions with customized menus to fit your needs. Thank you for supporting our dream and allowing us to share a piece of our family with yours. We look forward to welcoming you to our kitchen on wheels!

When people talk to us about our business, we often hear things like
“wow, that must be so rewarding”
“that sounds so exciting”
“you get to be your own boss!”
And yes… all of that is true.
But the reality looks a bit more like this 🙃
1- Starting a business is fulfilling, but not always in the day to day. Most of our time is spent putting out fires (sometimes literally), replying to messages, managing orders, fixing equipment, and handling all the behind the scenes work that keeps The Good Sando running.
2- It is exciting, but it also comes with a level of pressure we didn’t fully understand before. Every decision matters. Some days are big highs, others are… very humbling. Running a food trailer definitely keeps you on your toes.
3- Yes, we get to be our own bosses, which we love. But it also means being accountable to everyone around us. Suppliers, customers, events, expectations. In hospitality, you quickly learn that flexibility isn’t optional.
⬇️🫶🏻
That said, it’s been a journey worth taking.🙌🏻
Everything we’ve learned so far, and everything we’re building, is helping us grow as professionals, as people, and as a family.
👀We’d love to hear your thoughts on entrepreneurship. Tell us about your journey! 🫶
