There’s going above and beyond, and then there’s agreeing to sing a Disney number in front of a packed crowd for BttB.

That’s exactly what Jack from our Wagga crew did for Wagga Wagga Takes 2.

After helping get BttB involved, Jack eventually put his own hand up for the challenge and spent months rehearsing, fundraising and getting ready for the big nights.

One of the highlights was seeing Kaiden, who Jack MENtors, get up in front of 350 people on Saturday night and spoke. No small feat, and a great example of what can come from having someone like Jack in your corner.

More than $400,000 was raised for local charities across the event, with BttB set to benefit as well.

Huge effort, Jack. We were all very happy cheering you on from the safety of the crowd. 😂👏

Back at our Wangaratta shed to share a great moment...

Aiden, who spends time with his mentor Rourky, got to help out his favourite team, the Wangaratta Rovers Football & Netball Club throughout their premiership-winning season.

Pretty special to see senior premiership players Will Christie and Brodie Paul surprise him with his own Rovers jumper and the chance to get his hands on the cup.

Good people making time for our BttB boys. That's what community is all about!

The things learned at Boys to the Bush aren't always what you'd expect.

Sometimes they're practical skills like fishing, lawn mowing or bike riding. Sometimes it's what respect can look like in a practical sense, shaking hands and starting a conversation.

For some boys, those things aren't shown or taught at home. That's why early intervention matters. The earlier we can connect a young person with positive role models, the greater the impact we can have on their future.

Every mechanic starts somewhere. Usually with the wrong socket and a supervisor standing nearby. 😅

Luckily, the team at Bridgestone Leeton have plenty of patience. They're helping our boys get hands-on in a real workshop and learn a few tricks of the trade.

Big thanks to the Bridgestone Australia team for always making time for our lads.

A good day out for our Wangaratta lads at Squires 🌿

No they weren't enjoying the great local drinks on tap, the boys were busy pruning olive trees, pulling out old dripper lines and lots of other odd jobs around the property. Plenty of laughs, plenty of teamwork and a great way to spend a day outside of the classroom.

Big thanks to Paul and the team at Squires Winery for having us, and to Mulwala Waterski Club for backing this group and helping make programs like this possible.

School holidays are just around the corner and we've got some ripper camps coming up.

Hard yakka and good deeds. 💪

The lads in Young have been rolling up their sleeves lately, helping put together BBQs for Bunnings Warehouse Australia and lending a hand to Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) by loading and delivering 60 hay bales for the horses.

It's a job they tackle a few times each year, and one the boys are always happy to get involved in.

Turns out 1,907 LEGO pieces is an excellent way to test a MENtor relationship. 😂

After hours (and hours) of hard work, Jacob and his MENtor Hayden have finished their Pokémon build for the Bidgee Bricks Expo in Wagga this weekend.

Thanks to Renee from Brick Envy for giving Hayden and Jacob the opportunity and resources to take on this challenge.

A lot of time, focus and determination went into this project, and we're pretty proud of what Jacob has achieved!

The Bendigo boys have been spending some mentoring time in the shearing shed lately. 🐑

From moving sheep through the yards to watching shearers in action and seeing wool baled up ready for its next journey, the boys got a real behind-the-scenes look at shearing season. It was a great chance to get outdoors, roll their sleeves up, and learn about the many jobs available across the farming and wool industries.

Thanks to the local farmers, shearers and wool classers who opened the gates and shared their time, skills and knowledge with us. Experiences like these help build the boys curiosity and connection!
