Here we go… Chapter 2 of our Beer Cask Series lands next Wednesday night with our great friends at T-Bone Brewing Co!

Our Big Old Stout Cask Finish Single Malt Whisky is bold, rich and unapologetically big. Packed with layers of roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee and oak, it’s a whisky that perfectly showcases the influence of the barrel-aged stout that helped shape its character.

To celebrate this special release, we’ll also be pouring a selection of T-Bone beers alongside a range of whiskies, exploring the fascinating relationship between brewing and distilling while enjoying some outstanding local produce.

Expect a night of great flavours, good stories, adventure (we may take a trip down to the Overeem bond stores) plenty of laughs and the company of fellow whisky and beer lovers.

The next chapter of our Beer Cask Series takes us to our good friends and neighbours T-Bone Brewing Co. . Their outstanding beers have been delighting southern Tasmanians and beyond for over a decade, making them the perfect partners for our latest collaboration.

Join us on 24 June at The Beer Shed Huntingfield for the exclusive release of our Big Old Stout Cask Whisky, matured in a T-Bone stout cask and bursting with rich notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee and oak. Alongside the whisky, we’ll be pouring fresh T-Bone beers and celebrating another unique meeting of Tasmanian brewing and distilling craftsmanship.

Following the runaway success of our first Beer Cask Series release with Hopfields Brewery (which sold out on the night), tickets are expected to disappear quickly.

And because no whisky adventure is complete without a little exploration, we may even sneak down to Overeem Distillery during the tasting and venture into the bond stores for a behind-the-scenes look at where the magic happens.

The response to the first release of our Pedro Ximenez Cask Matured Single Malt Whisky was beyond anything we expected.

To see Batch #1 recognised amongst some of the world’s finest whiskies was incredibly rewarding for our small team, and we are deeply grateful for the support shown by our whisky community.

Now, Batch #2 is almost here.

Fully matured in genuine Spanish PX Sherry Casks, this next release has already created excitement amongst those who have sampled it privately at distillery visits and selected tastings. Internally, it has also become one of the highest-rated whiskies we have assessed at Overeem.

Rich, decadent and beautifully balanced, we cannot wait to share this whisky with you all very soon.

A closer look at the Overeem ‘Cherry Porter Finish’ Single Malt - the first release in our new Beer Cask Series.

Crafted in collaboration with one of Tasmania’s outstanding breweries, this unique whisky was finished in casks that previously held rich cherry porter beer, creating layers of dark fruit, chocolate and subtle roasted malt character.

We’re excited to introduce the Overeem ‘Beer Cask Series’! A limited small-batch collaboration between Overeem Single Malt Whisky and three outstanding Tasmanian breweries.

Each release begins with beer aged in Overeem whisky casks, before those same casks return to finish the whisky, creating layered and distinctive flavour profiles shaped by both beer and spirit.

The series will launch across three immersive brewery events featuring guided tastings, collaborative insights, and exclusive bottle releases.
