Incentivising regenerative agriculture: Mechanisms and drivers

Incentivising regenerative agriculture: Mechanisms and drivers Follow me as I go on my Churchill Fellowship journey to investigate the consumer drivers and incenti that is why agriculture can co-exist with the environment.

I am a 2020 Churchill Fellow based in Perth Western Australia, awarded the Fellowship to travel to the USA, France and Switzerland to investigate the incentives and consumer drivers and trends in regenerative agriculture. I picked regenerative agriculture because I strongly believe we need a new approach to agriculture. One that guarantees that the limited land we farm on can continue to produce n

utritious and healthy food for our children and our children’s children. I am convinced farmers in Australia and around the world are connected and love the land they farm on. Regenerative agriculture, though a contentious issue amongst the sector, is a way to achieve that coexistence. Because of the unprecedented experience all of us have had in 2020, my planned approach to my Churchill Fellowship is out the window. Therefore I have started this page to document my journey, share my research and engage with you before I can travel to those countries. So I hope you will follow my journey as we explore the topic of consumer drivers and incentives for regenerative agriculture together.
