🍻 BÁNH MÌ’S & B**RS — THURSDAY SESSION! 🥖

Today’s b**r of choice was the KR XPA from King Road Brewing Co. 🍺

At 3.5%, this little beauty is right in the easy-drinking, smashable zone! Light, refreshing and bloody tasty. King Road have been doing some really cool stuff lately and I’m seriously enjoying what they’re putting out. 👌

Now… onto today’s bánh mì. This one was a little special. 😏

We got a gift from one of our suppliers, a beef version of the pork cold cuts/ham we normally use in our bánh mì. T got creative, threw it into my traditional-style bánh mì with our other cold cuts, tweaked a few things… and BOOM! 💥

Absolutely bloody delicious. Everything just worked. I was addicted after the first bite! 😂

BUT… before everyone starts asking for it, NO, it’s not on the menu! 😂

This was a one-off special just for me and the team to have a play with and see what we could come up with.

Thursday experiment = MASSIVE SUCCESS! 🥖❤️🍻

🍻🥖 TUESDAY BÁNH MÌ & B**RS! 🥖🍻

Alrighty, Tuesday has rolled around and we’re back at it! 😎

Today’s b**r of choice was a little gift from our good mate Tristan Salter. Thank you very much, mate! 🍺🙌

This one was from Speights NZ. over in NewZealand 🇳🇿 their Golden Medal Ale.

And bloody hell… what a cracker! 🍻🔥

I honestly wasn’t expecting it to be this smashable. Started drinking it and thought, “Yep, this is bloody good.” Then a few more sips in and I had to have a word with myself… 😂

“QUANG… SLOW DOWN!” 🤣

Super easy drinking, really tasty and dangerously smashable. The kind of b**r where you blink and suddenly the can is mysteriously empty. 😂🍺

Now onto today’s bánh mì choice…

🔥 CRISPY CHICKEN + T’S FIVE-SPICE CHICKEN 🔥

Yep… I went there. 😎

Our crispy chicken… plus our grilled five-spice chicken… all packed into one bánh mì and loaded up with T’s flavour combination, sauces, pickled carrots, coriander and chillies.

Basically, imagine the crunch of our crispy chicken, the juicy grilled chicken, then throw T’s five-spice flavour bomb into the mix. 🤤🔥

Absolute bloody ripper of a combo!

Great b**r. Great bánh mì. Great Tuesday. 🍺🥖❤️

Happy Monday legends! 😎🍻

We’re kicking off the week with another Monday shoutout, and today it’s going to a great local crew right here in West Perth, Metal Hawk Limited! 🦅⛏️

These guys are a West Aussie mineral exploration company, out there hunting for the good stuff, gold and base metals , and doing the hard yards in the exploration game. Basically, while we’re busy hunting for the perfect bánh mì, they’re out there hunting for what’s underneath the ground! 😂

Good guys doing good things, and we’re always happy to give a shoutout to another local West Perth business. 💪❤️

So cheers to the team at Metal Hawk! Keep digging… hopefully you strike the motherload! 😂🪙

And now… onto the important stuff. 😂🥖

Today’s bánh mì creation was a bit of a ripper, crispy pork PLUS our marinated tofu from the vegetarian bánh mì. 😮‍💨🔥

And let me tell you… BIG WIN-WIN in my books! 🙌

The flavour combo just worked. The textures were spot on. Crispy pork doing its crispy pork thing, the tofu bringing that beautiful marinated flavour, crunchy fresh bread, pickled veg, herbs, chillies and that cheeky chilli kick 🌶️🔥

Bread? Perfect.
Veggies and herbs? Perfect.
Texture? Perfect.
Chilli kick? PERFECT.

Basically… Monday has started bloody well! 😂

And of course, you can’t have a Monday like this without a cheeky b**r. 🍺😎

Today’s drop was from our mates at FOUND. Brewery in Subiaco, their 2 percenter. Had it sitting in the fridge, saw it staring at me this morning and thought…

“Well… might as well.” 😂🍻

No regrets whatsoever.

🍻🥖 HAPPY FRIDAY, LEGENDS! 🥖🍻

We made it! Another massive week done and dusted, so you know what time it is… Friday Bánh Mì & Beers! 🍺🔥

Today’s b**r was one I haven’t smashed in a bloody long time, Feral Brewing Co’s Biggie East Coast IPA! 🍻

This thing is a bloody ripper. A juicy, tropical, little number sitting at a very respectable 6% 🍺💥 Nice tropical notes, juicy flavours, super easy drinking and, in my opinion, the perfect alcohol percentage for an IPA. Basically… dangerously smashable 😂🍻

And it went bloody beautifully with today’s Q&T Special! 🥖🔥

Now, yes… the roast pork was SOLD. OUT. GONE. FINISHED. VANISHED. 😭😂

But does that mean the Q&T Special is off the cards?

HELL NO! 😎🔥

We simply bring in the crackle! 🐷💥

We balance every single flavour profile in this bloody thing so you’re definitely not missing out. And trust me… today’s Q&T was BANGING! 🤤

Extra chillies 🌶️
Extra chilli oil 🔥
Extra coriander 🌿
Extra pâté 😍
And that beautiful crackle bringing the crunch! 💥🥖

Toasted to absolute perfection. That first sample of the crackle… CRUNCH! 😮‍💨 Then straight into the first bite and… OH MY GOSH. Delectable. Delicious. Bloody beautiful. 🤤🔥

Honestly, even without the roast pork, this Q&T was still one of the best damn bánh mì I’ve smashed in a while.

The b**r + the Q&T combo today? PERFECT. 🍻🥖❤️

And just like that… another week in the books!

Wednesday Bánh Mì & Beers 🍻🥖
Now THIS is a cheeky one! 😂
First up… the B**R! 🍺🐒
This morning we had an absolute legend, Victoria, swing by Let’s Eat. She’s been following us on the socials and apparently enjoys watching me smash a b**r or two with my bánh mì every day 😂🍻
So what does she do? She brings ME a b**r to try! ❤️
Victoria, you bloody ripper! Thank you so much for thinking of me and sending this one my way. 🙏
And what did she bring?
The Cheeky Monkey Brewing Co. Imperial IPA! 🐒🍺
This thing is an absolute UNIT at 8% ABV and 80 IBU. Double dry-hopped with Galaxy, Citra and El Dorado, with those big dank, stone-fruit, resinous and tropical flavours coming straight at you. Basically… this monkey didn’t come here to muck around! 😂💪🍺 �

That 8% lets you know it’s here from the get-go! Big, bitter, punchy and bloody delicious. Definitely not one of those b**rs you accidentally drink and then wonder where it disappeared to. 😂

Today I didn’t want a little bit of this, a little bit of that.
NOPE.
I had this idea rattling around in my head for a couple of days and today was finally the day…

🔥 ALL THE USUAL GOOD STUFF
And bloody hell… what a combination! 🤤🔥
The roast pork with that five-spice chicken… absolute bloody magic.
A big, filthy, flavour-packed bánh mì to finish the day before we head off to the Perth Royal Show tonight! 🎡🎢🍭
So this is the fuel-up before we hit the rides, games, food, crowds and whatever other madness the Royal Show throws at us tonight 😂

We’re going to have some fun… although after an 8% Cheeky Monkey and this bánh mì, I reckon I might already have the head start! 😂🍺🐒

🍻🥖 TUESDAY BÁNH MÌ & B**RS 🥖🍻

Wellllll… that long weekend went way too quick! 😂 Hope everyone had a ripper break, got some rest, ate some good food and maybe enjoyed a cheeky beverage or two!

But enough of that… we’re back! And it’s time to get stuck into Tuesday’s Bánh Mì & Beers! 🔥

🍺 B**R OF THE DAY 🍺

Today we’re going with Rocky Ridge Brewing Co. and their Ace IPA! 🤘

This one is a proper 6.8% West Coast IPA with 48 IBU, packing plenty of hop character. Think Big flavour, nice and strong, but still bloody easy to drink. 😮‍💨🍺

And bloody hell… it went down VERY nicely with today’s bánh mì! 😂

🥖 NOW FOR THE BÁNH MÌ 🥖

I was feeling a little naughty today… 😏

I missed out on my bánh mì yesterday, so I had some catching up to do. You know… important business. 😂

So I went absolutely FULL SEND:

🥖 Traditional
🐷 Crispy roast pork
🐷 Pork floss
🌶️ Chilli oil
🌶️ Fresh chillies
🌿 Extra coriander
🔥 Extra everything I bloody love!

Basically, if it was something I could squeeze, sprinkle, drizzle or stuff into that roll… IT WAS GOING IN! 😂

And WOW… what a bánh mì.

Crunchy baguette, all those flavours going off, the crispy pork, the pork floss, the chilli… bloody hell. 🤤🔥

It was just the perfect afternoon bánh mì.

Long weekend is officially over.

Back to work. Back to bánh mì. Back to b**rs. 😎🍻🥖

Alright legends, just a quick heads up from the Let’s Eat crew!
We’ll be taking a little break this Monday 28 September for the King’s Birthday Public Holiday. 🇦🇺👑
So no bánh mì, no Vietnamese iced coffees and sadly… no extra chilli oil for one day! 😂🌶️
We’ll be back at it Tuesday 29 September, ready to get those crunchy baguettes happening again! 🥖🔥

Friday. WE MADE IT! 🍻🔥

What. A. Bloody. Week. 😮‍💨

It was an absolute banger of a day at Let’s Eat today. The weather decided to turn a little chilly on us 🥶, but that didn’t stop you legends from coming out in droves. The line was moving, the rolls were flying and we were absolutely pumping! 💪🥖

Now… onto today’s b**r. 🍺

Gage Roads Little Dove New World Pale Ale.

This one is seriously one of my favourite b**rs of all time. ❤️🍺

Little Dove is a proper New World Pale Ale, bright, hoppy and packed with tropical and citrusy character, with that lovely hop aroma hitting you straight away. It’s got enough bitterness to keep things interesting, but it’s bloody easy drinking at the same time. Juicy, refreshing, balanced and bloody smashable.

Basically… you crack this thing open and you know you’re in for a good time. 😂🍺

And being Friday, there was only ONE bánh mì that was going to do the job…

Q&T SPECIAL! 🥖🔥

This thing ALWAYS hits the spot.

Loaded. Stacked. Bloody beautiful. 🤤

You’ve got the meats, the crunch, the freshness, the sauces, the pickles, the herbs, the chilli… everything coming together with different textures and flavours in every bite.

It’s one of those bánh mì where you see it and immediately think…

“Yep. I’m eating that.” 😂

I had to smash my lunch down a little quicker than usual today because we were still getting people through the door. Then, out of the corner of my eye, I spotted someone I hadn’t had a proper catch-up with in a while…

And with her was her partner Tara. Two absolute legends and long-time Let’s Eat supporters. 🙌

So naturally, lunch got put on pause for a minute because catching up with good people is just as important as eating a Q&T Special… although I’m not sure I’d ever admit that during peak lunch rush. 😂

It was bloody awesome seeing the girls and having a proper catch-up. There’s something pretty special about seeing customers who have been with us from the early days and continue to support us year after year.

That stuff genuinely means a lot. ❤️🙏

So yeah… Friday absolutely delivered.
