Stopped through Pattysmith's in Gwelup last week. Not too sure when it popped up, as I haven't been through this little centre for a bit.
I had a hankering for a good chicken burger, and this one honestly hit the spot. Not only was it still hot when I got home, but the bun and other fillings held up well during the trip home.
My son chose the cheeseburger, and same again. Still hot and resembling a decent burger by the time we got home. Definitely going back to try more from the menu.

Pic 2, Simply Smith. Classic cheeseburger, done well. I'm not at all upset that my son got more chips than me... 🤣

Travelling home from Nedlands, I remembered an awesome little bakery that is tucked away from the main drag. Mount Claremont Village Bakery do more than just pies, but it's all I felt like for smoko.
While they might not top people's pie lists, they do make a decent pie. Heaps of pastries and other tasty goodies to check out while you're there, too.
Pics 1&2, Chilli Beef. Quite a tasty pie. For me though, could have done with some pickled chillies, or chilli cooked through the gravy with the meat. I felt that it lacked heat, but that's just my taste buds.
Pics 3&4, Pepper Steak. This was great. Heaps of pepper, tasty gravy. Actually felt that it had more 'heat' than the chilli beef.

This place...what can I say about this place... it's fast becoming one of my favourite pies in Perth... JD's Pies And Tacos.
From the huge chunks of meat, the in store made pastry, to the sheer size and volume of filling, these pies are hard to match. You can feel the love and pride put into these masterpieces. Plus, being relatively close to home doesn't hurt, either... I may have been through here more than once in a week...

Pics 1&2, Chicken Curry. Big pieces of chook with veggies in a delicious Curry sauce. Would smash again.
Pic 3, Peppersteak. Chunks of beef in a fantastic pepper environment. So good.
Pic 4, Fennel Sausage Roll. While fennel may not appeal to everyone, the delicate amount of fennel in this is great. Not overpowering, yet not so little you don't notice. Delicious variation of their outstanding sausage roll. Worth a crack.
Pics 5&6, Chunky Beef Jalapeño Cheese. Slabs of beef, melted cheese, and smackerings of jalapeño. Could've done with a little bit more seasoning for my taste, but a great pie nonetheless.
Pics 7&8, Beef Rendang. This guy. This guy right here. This will be a staple in my diet. Paddock full of beef. Flavour was just amazing. I'd go back for just this pie alone.

Well, what better way to start off a food oriented page. Brunch. The breakfast of champions that love a sleep in and also require some booze to kick-start their day.
With some absolutely glorious spring weather happening in Perth this week, brekkie down by our magical coastline was in order.
As you can Ssea... (see what I did there...) we both ended up ordering the Menemen, Turkish scrambled eggs. I also ordered some pork sausage on the side, as I was quite hungry. A couple of coffees, and a couple of cheeky breakfast cocktails. (Tall one is the City Peach, one in front of me is the Odyssea Sunrise.)
Food was hot and delicious, could have done with one or more pieces of bread, but like I said, I was hungry. Coffee was hot, which is a good start, but also of a decent strength. I love a good coffee.
Cocktails were nice. The City Peach could have done with a splash more booze, it was a little more of a strong juice, but really flavoursome. The Odyssea Sunrise was decent, and even better once I mixed the raspberry sorbet into the prosecco to make an adult slushie. Could've downed several more of those.
Overall, staff, location, food, service, weather, price, it was all great. We'll definitely head back here in the near future, hopefully try something else on the menu, and different from each other...

Welcome to the Hungry Guy's page.
I'll endeavour to get to as many food establishments as possible in my time off, and post what and where I'm eating.
Whether you use it as a guide on where to grab a quick bite for lunch, or somewhere you want to go with a significant other, I'll try to get to as many places as humanly possible, and give each place a fair go.
I will not run a place down, or accept any ridicule from followers. Each business deserves respect, and a little light shone on them once in a while.
I will not be receiving any money or gifts for reviews, nor will I post prices as most places have that information on thier website. This is just for the appreciation of food.
I will try to remain as anonymous as I can. If you do figure out who I am, please respect my wish to keep my anonymity. I am not seeking any preferential treatment, I just want to enjoy the food.
Posts will be within a week or two of each individual visit. I will visit some places more than once, as there are always more than one thing you want to try.
If you have any suggestions on places to eat, I'd love to hear of them.
That's about all for now. If I think of anything else, I'll add it as I go.
