Was a bit worried we had lost her, Henri Matisse, one of the first dahlias we bought, the first to ever flower on the farm 5 years ago and she is still beautiful and unique

So as we close our fourth dahlia season, I thought it was probably time to introduce myself.

I’m Kerri—married to an incredibly supportive, funny and passionate man for 19 years, stepmum to three fabulous young adults, and full-time builder by day (yes, still juggling both hats!). I’m also completely obsessed with dahlias—what started as a few tubers quickly turned into a full-blown flower farm adventure.

We live with our white husky, Frodo, who supervises all farm activities. And in true renovation chaos fashion, we bought an old scout hall and are slowly turning it into our home.

Thank you for following along—whether you’re here for the flowers, Frodo, or a little behind-the-scenes chaos, I’m glad you’re here.

The rows are looking absolutely spectacular right now — masses of flowers everywhere… until you get closer and realise most have blown centres or the stems are super thin. And just like that, our season wraps up for the year!
It’s been a tough one (thanks, rabbits!) but we made it.

Honestly, dahlias still blow me away every day — the colours, the forms, the sheer magic of them. We’ll be soaking them up for a few more weeks while we finish labelling plants and collecting seed from some favourites.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported our little dream this season — from our amazing florists to our wonderful local customers. Your support really does mean the world to us.

We’re already deep into planning for an even bigger 2026 season — and we can’t wait to share even more with you!
But first: a big few months ahead digging, dividing, and getting our website ready for tuber sales.

And last but definitely not least — the biggest thank you to David and Sophie, who help keep this farm running and these dreams growing. ###

Favourite flower so far this season, half and half Carlos Watermelon and Carlos Hot Pink. We have both next to each other in the rows and have only ever seen this one flower throwing both colours. Dahlias do some amazing things

The blue banded bee, we knew they were here, but they are so hard to spot let alone photograph. Great grab
