Many of you have asked how our four girls who travelled to Qld are going l!! We are thrilled to announce that they have settled in at Sandrian Park Miniature Herefords and three out of four calved this year.. Miss Shakira didn’t fall but Troffle decided to make up for her and delivered twins! Next it was Savanna and then Sybil who surprised us with a boy (she has given us girls both callings here in Tas). All are going well and am glad to see that their genetics will continue. (even if it has been all boys this year! starting to believe that the cold brings the girls) Some great photos and video of Troffles twin boys for you to enjoy!

Last but not least… Introducing Quamby Red Versace. Versace is a special little steer as he was born on my birthday last year. Aptly named Versace as I figure someone just once needs to give me Versace for my birthday!! This is sadly the only original line that will not continue on our farm as his mum Benscroft Savannah has gone to live in Qld, but we watch with excitement to see what Savannah delivers to Sandrian Park Miniature Herefords this year. Versace is looking for his next home with his buddy QR Vincent.

Introducing Quamby Red Vincent. Vincent is Stella and Mooslie”s son and turning out to be a stunning little man. Vincent was certainly bull worthy but with the seasons playing games here in Tasmania we decided it was best to make him a steer. Vincent is available with Versace if the right home becomes available otherwise he will stay here and may comtinue in QR Ulrichs footsteps and make his way to the Ekka next year in the led steer competition.

Introducing Quamby Red Violet.
Nick named Vroom Vroom from birth Violet has been a healthy happy calf since she was born. Violet is daughter of Ndbele Mooslie and Boomer Creek Troffle and arrived without any fuss or fanfaire. Her mum Troffle was our youngest Heifer and we were crossing everything for a good birth and to make sure we didn’t worry Troffle calved, cleaned and fed Violet while we were at an Agricultural show and was a lovely surprise on our return. Violet has a great temprament and we hope she carries her mothers calving genetics.

Introducing Quamby Red Vienna.
Vienna is a daughter of Ndebele Moosli and Benscroft Shakira born late 2024.
One of our most delightful heifer calfs from this season she is the first up to say hello and loves nothing more than holding her head high for a brisket scratch. If anyone can convince me that I need to put in the work to show our cows Vienna is it. She has the temprament, the s***k and is not just a pretty face!

Introducing Quamby Red Veronica
Veronica is the first of our Ndebele Moosli calfs born late 2024.
She is half sister to Uno and daughter of Boomer Creek Sybil.
Just like her sister was she is the smallest calf born from the biggest Mum but we can not wait to see her grow Into what we know she can be just like her sister Uno.

Introducing Quamby Red UNO
UNO is the first calf we had born here at Quamby Red and it seemed fitting to make her name represent No 1 and the Hereford registration year letter just happened to be U!
She was born late 2023 and we look forward to breeding her alongside Stellar in 2026. She comes from one of our girls who has headed to Qld, Boomer Creek Sybil or Grumpy Cow as she was affectionately known here on the farm. Not due to her personality but because of her fantastic Hereford Eye colouring and brow overhang. UNO and her half sister Veronica will be important additions to our breeding future carrying the marked gene.
