Daxe the bull has serviced a neighbours cow and after 6 weeks she and her calf are heading home. The neighbour wanted a couple more mouths to chew down her grass so she took some yearling steers today too. Her 6 month old calf needed to be weaned too so we popped a ring in her nose.

With demand for our beef being year round we’ve broken away from traditional farming methods by having two joining windows with our breeder cows. By splitting the herd we should drop calves in spring and autumn. Today our registered stud bull Daxe has joined a few of our breeders and some new heifers for 6 weeks. Hopefully we will have fresh calves dropping around March next year. Then in 2 years they’ll be the perfect size, texture and taste for your BBQ! 🥩
