What a beautiful day at 🌿 The Village Green!

We had the joy of baking our zesty orange cakes for The Village Green and Pavilion
's high tea a few weeks ago, set against the stunning backdrop of One Thousand Hills. The lush grounds and vibrant community made for the perfect setting to enjoy a slice (or two!) at this special fundraiser event.

A big thank you to everyone who came and made the day a success. Your support for the great cause and love for the story behind the cake were heartwarming. We’re proud to be part of such a meaningful event and an even greater community 🌞🍊

We have finally got around to posting pictures of a cake from earlier this year! A delicate velvet sponge with local cherry gel, cherry & vanilla cream cheese buttercream with a sprinkle of magic aka salade de fleurs — fit for a queen!

👋 H E L L O 👋 to my new followers—it's time I introduce myself!

I'm Yawen, the baker behind A Fine Sift. You'll often find me cooking up a storm when I'm not designing graphics at work, volunteering for the wonderful , or in our soon-to-be orchard and veggie garden in the beautiful Traawool Valley.

I have a background in art, and while we have a limited budget as a startup, I naturally lean towards making products as perfect as they can be because the devil's in the detail. Plus, who doesn't eat with their eyes first? But most importantly, everything we put on the table has to be delicious—life is too short!

As we roll into the third year of this baking journey 🎉, I'm genuinely thrilled to share that our product range is slowly growing. As the business has always intended, we're now able to incorporate fruit straight from our own backyard! So keep your eyes peeled for our cake releases in the next couple of weeks!
