🍻🐮 A FARMER’S JOB IS NEVER DONE! 🐮🚜
You know that feeling when you’ve finally made it through a long weekend and think it’s time to sit back, relax and enjoy a well-earned drink with friends? 😂🍺
Well, at Splitters Farm, things don’t always go to plan!
Our friends joined us for a few drinks after the long weekend, expecting a relaxing catch-up… but they ended up getting a whole lot MORE than they bargained for! 🫣🐄
Instead of putting our feet up, we found ourselves in the middle of helping a mumma cow struggling through childbirth and trying to safely get her calf out. When nature calls, there’s no checking the clock, no waiting for a convenient time and certainly no knocking off at 5pm!
One minute you’re enjoying a drink with mates, the next you’re rolling up your sleeves and doing your best to deal with a sticky situation. ❤️
Welcome to farm life — where the drinks can wait, but the animals can’t! 😂🐮
A farmer’s job is truly never done!
❤️ A little note on animal welfare: Birth can sometimes be unpredictable and challenging, and the welfare of both mum and calf always comes first. When complications arise, it’s important to act in their best interests and seek appropriate assistance when needed. Farm life isn’t always pretty, but caring for our animals never takes a day off.
