Come and dine in Venezuela with me and enjoy some tasty arepas. 🇻🇪

Arepas are a traditional corn dish from Venezuela and Colombia, although the two countries do them a little differently. Venezuelan arepas tend to be thicker and are often split open and loaded with fillings, while Colombian arepas are generally flatter and can be much simpler, sometimes eaten alongside a meal or topped with cheese.

This was my first time making them, and my friend recommended I get this particular corn meal, so I was giving it a go!

It’s actually ridiculously simple, warm water, (over) salt, PAN corn meal, mix it up, roll into little balls and flatten.

I completely missed filming the bit where I put them all under a pan at once to flatten them 😂 but then it’s just low and slow in the fry pan until they’re lovely and crispy on the outside.

And then comes the fun part…fill them with whatever you like. OMG they are so good! 🧡

Tonight we did:
fresh-caught flathead fillets
shredded chicken
cabbage slaw
guacamole

And honestly, AMAZING.

Highly recommend giving these a go. I’m officially an arepa making convert. 🤌🏼

If you're looking for the perfect way to warm up this winter, head to りとるいとしん for their Monday Night Ramen Pop Up!!!

Steaming bowls of incredible broth flavours, and the cosiest way to kick off the week. Trust us, Monday never tasted so good. ❤️🍥

So good to have something so yummy on a Monday!!

From melt in your mouth slow cooked lamb shoulder, to classic battered fish and hand cut chips, BBQ octopus, and the perfect finish with Turkish delight and some sweets... every dish hit the spot.

Good food has a way of bringing people together, and this was one of those nights. 💙

Big night at for the art comp and wow… what a vibe 🎨🔥

Three rounds, artists going head-to-head, pieces coming to life right in front of us, then straight to auction. The energy was unreal. ✨️

So much talent in one room. Huge shoutout to all the incredible artists who brought it 👏✨

The service was warm and genuine, with that comforting, homestyle feel, and every dish hit the mark.

We had the barramundi, pork, and steak mains, all absolutely delicious, plus a side of octopus, truffle fries, and some pickled veg to round it out.

We will be back for another visit!

We got there at 9.30pm and it was still pumping when we left at almost 11.

Hey fellow doggy lovers 🐾 🧡

Here’s a peek at my at home recipes I make for my dogs each week. Today I used grass fed beef mince, sweet potato, potato, carrots, broccoli, tomato, and eggs, I mix it up to cover their nutritional needs, including calcium, omega-3s, protein, and vitamins. A sprinkle of fresh parsley too! (I Swap between chicken & turkey mince and add or swap in peas, pumpkin and zucchini).

I don’t buy store pet food because I don’t know what’s in it, and most kibble is just empty carbs. I know this because when I feed them kibble (even the most fancy and expensive brands!!!) they are hungry so quickly and Buddy’s skin breaks out into itchiness 😢

My dogs are 13 and 15, and I love feeding them home cooked meals when I can. ❤️

On days when I haven’t had time, I’ll swap in things like canned wild caught salmon, eggs, and other simple whole foods.

Homemade doesn’t have to be complicated! it just has to be real foods and nutritious. 💛
