Getting ready for the market on Saturday ☺️

Roasted pumpkin for our pumpkin and pepita loaves are about ready to come out of the oven, and the fire is lit ☺️

It's a long, slow process to create our sourdough loaves, but made with love, which I feel carries over to each loaf πŸ₯–

Nettle sugar biscuits πŸ˜‹

Topped with:

Lemon verbena
Corn flowers
Calendula
Freeze dried Davidson plum

So yum and so easy!

400g soft unsalted butter
400g caster sugar
2 eggs
1tsp vanilla
1tbsp nettle powder
800g flour

Preheat oven to 200Β°c.
Cream the butter, when light and fluffy add the sugar. Add eggs 1 at a time and the vanilla. Then slowly add the flour and nettle powder until a dough forms.
Roll into balls and flatten with a glass. Add your edible flowers (optional), bake for 8-10mins. Cool on a wire rack.

Can easily swap and change toppings, or instead of nettle powder you could add Turmeric or ginger or even beetroot powder for a pink touch.

I realised it has been a minute since I've posted!

What glorious weather we've been having the last few weeks!

I'd prefer to be outside today, though instead I'm doing a fresh batch of gluten-free muesli and granola.

Whilst the oven was on, decided I should make the kids some more bread for school lunches, so I made a cheats sourdough pan loaf πŸ˜‹
