We’re home, unpacked and looking back on another great weekend of competition BBQ at the Gladstone BBQ Festival 🔥

We came away with a 4th Overall finish, with some really solid results across the four categories.

Our category results were:

🐔 2nd – Chicken
🐷 4th – Pork Ribs
🐖 6th – Pork
🐄 7th – Brisket

A big thank you to Brenton for hosting the comp and to everyone involved in putting on another great weekend.

Huge congratulations to Grillas in the Mist on taking out GC and Triple B Barbecue on RGC. Very well deserved.

And of course, a massive shoutout to the legends who help make all of this possible, Cotton Tree Meats and Flatout Fire Pit for continuing to back us, and a big welcome to The Rub Hub as they join the team! 🙌

We genuinely appreciate the support from all three and can’t wait to have you guys along for the ride this season. 🔥🤙

It’s early in the season and only our 3rd comp in, so naturally we thought a quick 5-hour drive up the highway was a good idea!

🔥 OUR 25/26 SEASON WRAP UP IS HERE! 🔥

We promised a full wrap-up of our 25/26 comp season, so here it is! 🔥

11 comps. Plenty of kilometres. A ridiculous amount of meat. A few late nights. Plenty of laughs.

Finishing strongly at 14th overall out of 125 teams! 🏆🔥

When we started the 25/26 season, our goal was pretty simple:

Finish in the Top 30.

We reckon 14th will do nicely. 😎

Across the season, we finished in the Top 8 at 7 competitions, with our season-long category rankings finishing at:

🐔 Chicken | 4th overall
🥇 3 Top 3 finishes, including a 1st place!

🐖 Pork Ribs | 5th overall
🥇 3 Top 3 finishes, including a 1st place!

🐷 Pork | 12th overall
🥉 1 Top 3 finish

🐮 Brisket | 17th overall
🥉 2 Top 3 finishes

And we couldn't resist having a crack at the pie comp at the 2025 Full Throttle World BBQ Championship… 2nd place! 🥧🔥

But honestly, the results are only part of it.

The best bit is the people, the weekends away, the laughs, the early starts, the lessons and all the good times along the way.

A massive thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey this season. Our mates, fellow teams, supporters, volunteers and everyone who has followed along, liked a post, shared our stuff or stopped by to say hello at a comp. ❤️🔥

A huge shoutout to Cotton Tree Meats and Flatout Fire Pit for backing us throughout the season. We genuinely appreciate having two great local businesses in our corner.

And a big thank you to the Australasian Barbecue Alliance, Heat Beads BBQ and all the volunteers who put in the work behind the scenes to make these competitions happen. Without the people behind the sport, none of this would be possible. 🙌🔥

And most importantly, our families. Thank you for putting up with the early starts, late nights, weekends away, missed family time and all the craziness that comes with BBQ competitions. The support behind the scenes means everything, and we couldn’t do what we do without you. ❤️

This sport is about much more than the results, and we’re pretty lucky to be able to do what we love and share it with some great people.
