Juno Wines
2024 Grenache Rosé
Made from 100% free run juice and barrel fermented for 14 days in neutral French oak barrels. The wine went through partial malolactic fermentation and one barrel had extended lees contact, which was battonaged twice a week for two months.
On the nose: Turkish delight, strawberries and cream, raspberries, cherry blossoms, and vibrant red berries jump out of the glass.
On the Palate: A very textural and rounded rosé, with an initial hit of strawberries and cream, and a touch of raspberries, that is supported by a mineral backbone. This is a wine of layers and textures, with fresh acidity, and has a long, persistent finish. Completely bone dry, this wine lingers on the palate.
2023 Shiraz-Grenache
Featuring a blend of 80% Shiraz & 20% Grenache from Barossa’s ‘Western Ridge’ sub-region. This Shiraz clone comes from the famous Guigal Cote Rôtie vineyard, ‘La Mouline’.
The wine was battonaged in 2nd fill and neutral French oak barrels for 4 months.
On the nose: fruity bramble berries, hints of thyme, and floral notes, with dark chocolate making an appearance.
On the palate: lovely silky tannins with bright, juicy red and blue fruit flavours, fresh acidity and a long, rounding finish.
