Liam talks all things Hoppy Haze. Low in bitterness, this b**r is all about fruit-forward hop flavour and aroma, not to mention a hop-induced haze. 🍺

Who had oats for breakfast this morning?

We add oats to the mash for our Hazy Pale, an upcoming favourite release, to give it a silky body and help carry those delicious hop flavours.

Big thank you to for hosting this year's South Coast B**r Fest collab brew. Matt and Rhys actually brewed a b**r, while the rest of us, well, played a variety of supporting roles.

Make sure you get your tix for **rfest so you can try this and many other delicious brews from South Coast breweries.

Yesterday we brewed our 100th batch of Mollymook Pale Ale.

Over its 8 years of life, this b**r has evolved slightly. It started out similar in character to the b**r that arguably started it all - at least when it comes to hop forward pale ales - Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

That b**r, which came into genesis some 40 years ago, has a distinct crystal malt character, moderately high perceived bitterness, and a pine and citrus hop character.

Tastes have changed over time, especially in Australia as we have moulded b**r styles to suit our palate, and especially when it comes to hop forward b**rs in recent years with the whole juicy / hazy thing going on.

And so our Mollymook Pale Ale today is a modern version of a Pale Ale. We've cut out the crystal malt, but retained a solid underlying malt character with the use of some other speciality malts, we still use Cascade hops, but also Vic Secret and Simcoe.

We like to think it's the Perfect Pale Ale. It has a delightful and varied hop character, that should you want to you could really swirl, sniff and appreciate. It has just enough bitterness to make a great pairing with a range of foods, but then it is also light and breezy enough to be able to go down easily without affronting anyone's palate.
