A great example of industry and utility collaboration in action. 👏

Bega Group has commissioned a new wastewater pre-treatment plant at its Lenah Valley site, helping improve water quality, protect shared infrastructure and support more sustainable manufacturing outcomes for Hobart and the wider Tasmanian community.

We were proud to support this important project.

Good news on the way for Tassie 💧🌧️
Water restrictions are expected to be lifted across most of Tasmania next week following recent rainfall.

The rain has brought much-needed relief to catchments that have been under pressure during an extended dry period, with conditions now looking very positive in most areas.

Before any changes are confirmed, our teams are continuing to carefully assess water storages, river flows and water quality to make sure systems have fully recovered.

We know restrictions have been tough, and we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who reduced their water use - your efforts have made a real difference 👏

In the meantime, we’re asking communities to hang tight just a little longer while we complete final checks over the coming days.

Where we expect restrictions to lift:
✅ Orford and Triabunna
✅ Oatlands
✅ Scamander
✅ Whitemark
🔸 Lady Barron is expected to remain on Stage 1 a little longer while we continue monitoring local conditions. Please keep using water wisely while assessments continue.

This week, we head to Ozwater - Australia’s largest water conference... with one of our strongest speaker line-ups yet.

Across three days, our people will present on everything from wastewater treatment optimisation and infrastructure planning to water conservation, and customer engagement.

The conference provides an opportunity to showcase the work happening across Tasmania while contributing to national conversations shaping the future of the water industry. It also creates valuable opportunities to learn from peers across the country and bring new insights back into the business.

Good luck to all our presenters and attendees heading to Ozwater.

Heads up, Launceston!
We’re starting work on the Prospect Vale Sewerage Improvement Project, part of the Launceston Sewer Transformation. This important investment will help protect the Kanamaluka/Tamar estuary, maintain reliable services, and support future growth across greater Launceston.

🔹 When: From Monday, 25 May 2026 until October 2026, between 7am and 5pm on weekdays, weather permitting.
🔹 Where: Corin Street, West Launceston and surrounding areas including Hardwicke Street Reserve Dog Park.
🔹 What: Construction activities including excavation and pipe installation. You may notice increased vehicle movements, traffic management, reduced speed limits, and some noise, dust and vibration. There will also be short-term changes to access around the dog park.

We understand there may be temporary disruptions and thank you for your patience while we carry out these essential works. Once complete, the upgrades will deliver lasting environmental benefits and support a more reliable and sustainable sewer network for our growing community.

Protect your pipes!
Never flush wipes, feminine hygiene products, dental floss, cotton swabs, or anything other than the 3 Ps: P*e, Poo and toilet Paper.

Just because something can be flushed, doesn’t mean it should be. We find a lot of strange things in our sewerage network - things that belong in the bin, instead of the toilet.

You can read more about what you shouldn’t flush down the toilet here: www.taswater.com.au/community/water-quality/dont-flush-this
