At Woombye Cheese Company we are passionate about cheese and the Sunshine Coast hinterland - it is the perfect place to create our cheese - made by hand, using traditional methods. Since our first batch in 2013, our range has grown to include Camembert, Triple Cream Brie, Blackall Gold (a delicious washed rind cheese), Ash

Brie, Vintage Cheddar and of course our flagship cheese Truffle Triple Cream Brie. We are proud to say our cheeses can be found on the menus of some of Australia’s best restaurants and retail outlets. Woombye Cheese Company is Australian owned by a local Brisbane family and backed by a fantastic team based in our factory in West Woombye.

I’m doing some tastings today on new products. I opened the box to find these perfectly wrapped cheese with specific trial labels (complete with our little cow)

Even though we aren’t a huge producer, we think and act like one. Our staff have Woombye Cheese at the heart of everything they do. This is how they act when I’m not looking and I love it.

Carlo Petrini, founder of Slow Food, has died in Italy, aged 76.

He is the reason there are over 2000 slow food groups operating across 160 countries. He has inspired over a million activists and supporters.

I, along with some our friends, had the privilege of meeting him in 2024 at Terra Madre Salone del Gusto - the world’s largest international gastronomy and sustainable agriculture exhibition held in Turin, Italy.
