👋
It’s time!
We’re coming up on 12 months since we sold Thirsty Crow and, after 15 years of running a small business, I’ve spent most of that time simply recharging the batteries (although my 3 kids have attempted to drain the power a few times…). But now it’s time to bring a new project to life.
A bunch of you followed 𝐅𝐀𝐁𝐄𝐋 with almost no context — just a “trust me, more info coming soon.” Thanks so much for sticking around.
The simplest way to explain what FABEL will do
(𝐅ood 𝐀nd 𝐁everage. 𝐄ntertainment 𝐋ife)
is aiming to create a Pac-Man style metaphor and critically in time before the Ashes starts this arvo 🏏
- In the current state of play, Pac-Man (insert any local food and beverage business that you visit!) is being chased by the ghosts of: burnout, rising operating costs, algorithms out of your control, you name it… Eventually, something gets you!
- In what FABEL hopes to achieve, is to create a digital venue where hospitality operators, staff, producers, creatives, and food-loving locals can connect, support each other, promote what they do, and grow together.
A place you can visit to:
• Showcase your venue
• Promote your business
• Discover events
• Connect with local producers
• Tap into community groups
• Find (or fill) industry jobs
• Start your food or creative journey — home cooks, emerging musicians, content creators, all welcome
Once this is off the ground that’s when the fun things will start happening with collaborative events and pathways for building a stronger locally owned industry.
If you’d like to support the project:
👉 PLEASE Invite a few friends to this page (we need to build our Wagga LGA audience!)
👉 Send me a DM on FABEL if you or your business wants to be involved
Let’s do this.
