Our first bull purchase has exceeded expectations, delivering a remarkable 100% coverage rate. Purchased in September last year from Pathfinder Angus, this outstanding sire has proven himself from the outset. Tasked with a significant job, he achieved full coverage across the elite females acquired by both Wallangra Angus and ATR Angus during 2026, as well as 12 Wallangra Stud females — a total of 29 from 29 females, all PTIC.
After a well-earned three-week break, he has now been joined with a further 18 Wallangra V Stud females for a six-week joining period. Given his performance to date, we are confident he will continue to deliver exceptional results

I was privileged to once again attend Queensland’s premier Angus event—the Ascot Cattle Bull and Female Sale. This year, I acquired two exceptional heifers that will complete the foundation herd for ATR Angus.
Over the years, we’ve strategically sourced bulls and heifers for the Wallangra Angus program, selecting genetics that consistently perform under Queensland’s unique conditions. With that proven success, it was a natural and confident decision to invest in females for ATR Angus.
The ATR Angus female stud herd now comprises:
- 2 elite heifers from Ascot Cattle Co.
- 2 heifers from U8J Cattle Company, including one acquired at the World Angus Forum
- 1 heifer from Glatz Black Angus
- 4 heifers from Wallangra Angus
This diverse and high-calibre lineup lays a strong genetic foundation for ATR Angus, positioning the program for long-term success and adaptability.

With index values placing him in the top 1% across the board, this elite individual is set to make a profound impact. His genetics will play a pivotal role in shaping the female herd we’re building—one that reflects our unwavering commitment to performance, adaptability, and genetic excellence tailored for Australian conditions.
With multiple sales occurring on the same day, it was a challenge to cover all the lots we had our eye on. Fortunately, Janette made the trip to Roma and decisively secured this outstanding young sire for our program. Her instinct and timing have added a cornerstone to the future of ATR Angus.

We have welcomed another well bred heifer from another QLD Angus Stud. U8J Cattle Company. We would like to thank Warren and the team at U8J for another heifer for our foundation females here at ATR Angus. She will fit into our program well.

It's another boy!!!!!. That's now 3 solid bull calves from 4 females with 1 yet to calf from the Wallangra Angus females we purchased this year. This bull calf is from Wallangra Robin U91 going back to Raff and Pathfinder and sired by Ascot testament T302.

We like to welcome our second bull calf from Wallangra Rua U86 by Ascot Testament T302. Easy, Unassisted calving makes the job a lot easier and more enjoyable. 31/07/25 DoB.
