For nearly a century, Turners Ice Confection has had the absolute privilege of cooling down hot summer days and putting smiles on the faces of generations of families. For 90 beautiful years, this company has been more than just a business to those that have run it; it has been a labor of love, woven into the very fabric of the local community.
From the vintage recipes we’ve fiercely protected to the sound of children eagerly choosing their favorite flavors, every single ice block we’ve made holds a memory. We have poured everything into keeping this tradition alive.
However, the reality of the current economic landscape has brought us to a heartbreaking crossroads. Over the past year, the skyrocketing costs of raw ingredients, manufacturing and utilities, combined with no growth in sales, have created a storm we can no longer weather.
We have stretched every dollar and exhausted every avenue to keep our freezers running and our prices fair, but the numbers simply no longer add up. It is with a heavy heart that we must announce that if a passionate new buyer does not step forward to take the reins, the beloved Turners Ice Confection will be forced to close its doors for the final time at the end of June.
This is not how we wanted the story to end, but we remain hopeful that someone out there with fresh energy and a vision will see the magic in this 90-year legacy and choose to save it. If this is indeed the final chapter, we want to express our deepest, most sincere gratitude to our loyal customers, our incredible staff past and present, and everyone who made Turners a part of their lives.
