Well it has reached us. Varroa mite is in the breeding yard. This is where the real test of the uncapping and recapping behaviour traits with the Caucasian dark bees will be truly tested. We are all in! Boom or bust this spring.

Thanks everyone for their patience with the waitlists. I will contact everyone when we have a status update on stock. Currently the waitlist for nucs are December or later. Queens are fully booked until around October but we will have to put our prices up at the start of the season to mitigate hive losses and additional inputs.

Appreciate the understanding and completely understand if that means you need to seek a hive elsewhere.

Well said. Many Australian small business beekeeping families are being wiped out at the moment without any industry support. The ripple affect to this on our food industry will be astonishing and felt very widely by the food industry and the public!
