A little plug for Plush Puppy because once again they’ve come to the rescue.
Since our American girl hit Australian soil she’s had a lot to adjust to. Different climate, different food, different water and a completely different lifestyle. All things that can take time for a dog’s body to get used to.
Not long after arriving she broke out in a hive-like rash. I’d seen it before with my Vizsla boy so thankfully I knew what I was looking at. Little bumps would appear, turn into small scabs and then the coat would drop where the scabs formed.
I changed a few things around, adjusted her diet and tried a couple of different shampoos. It helped a little but we just weren’t getting the improvement I wanted.
Then I thought, why reinvent the wheel? Let’s go back to what worked before.

👏 Reviva Coat and Sea Breeze Oil 👏
Within a matter of weeks we started seeing a huge improvement. The skin settled, the coat started recovering and everything began heading in the right direction.
I’ve been applying Reviva Coat every few days which has been fantastic for rehydrating and moisturising both the skin and coat. Once that’s on I follow up with Sea Breeze Oil which helps lock in that hydration while supporting coat recovery and overall skin health.
And for those that think short-coated dogs are low maintenance… think again. 😅
Keeping a short-coated show dog in top condition takes just as much attention to skin, coat health and overall presentation. The difference is you can’t hide anything. Every little bump, scab and imperfection is right there for the world to see.
Healthy skin equals a healthy coat and that’s something worth investing the time into. 💙🐾
