2018 - Where it all started, my first time at the Adelaide Royal Show and invited to be on the mic with Andrew "Tex" Hall, fast forward four years and we are back to reprise our roles this time with the National Finals of the and then finally to the year 2025 where we have returned once more to co-host the AYFC National Finals. Some may say we've have more comeback tours than John Farnham, but all I can say is it's an honour and a privilege to step out onto the arena with my best mate and commentate a competition that has been a huge part of both of our Show lives. Not a lot has changed in this time (save for the windsocks on the mics) - and one thing that remains is our passion to see this competition continues to grow and develop across Australia!
Thanks again to the wonderful for inviting us both back again to announce & support the AYFC Program, to for their support and drive in keeping this a competition that continues to showcase competitive competition options to young people from a diverse range of backgrounds in and out of the Agriculture Space and to tje Adelaide Royal for showcasing the competition on the Main Arena accross not just one but two nights of the Adelaide Royal Show!
Also, a massive thanks to the technical team for making us look and sound great!
Untill next time - we'll see you around the arenas!

Sunshine Coast Show 2025.
Six years ago, Rowan and Ellie O'hara came to me with an idea - fast forward six years, and I've had the opportunity to return once again this year as the announcer for the Whites IGA Education Stage.
This year showcasing everything from Bee-keeping, through Liberty Horsmanship, Whip Cracking, Dog Training, and Sheep Shearing. This year was yet another great year on the stage!
Also, this year, I had the opportunity to return as the Show Caller and Lighting Designer for the main arena. Thank you to the team at BCL for once again supplying a cracking rig of Ayrton Mistrals, Martin Mac Vipers and Acme Sandane Frosts; all under the control of a brand new GrandMA3 Lite Lighting Console and two great Robert Juliat Aramis Followspots for keylight.
It was a privilege to work with our Main Arena Stage Manager Nelson Corbett, Gate SM's and Announcers Emma Irene and Luke Mellers in their debut year.
Once again, I offer a massive thank you to President Mr Rowan O'Hara and his entire committee for their support and inviting me back. See you all again in 2026!

My final wrap-up post for the Sydney Royal Easter Show for 2025 -
This year, I was honoured to be once again welcomed back to be a part of the Evening Entertainment program again. The team that I get to work with are so much more than a team - they become family! I'm incredibly grateful to the opportunity that Lynelle Smith gave me two years ago to become a part of the Easter Show Entertainment Family. It means so much to be a part of the show and to be a contributing voice to the program. To all of the entertainment team, I'm so humbled by the opportunity to work with you all again this year.
My highlights this year are far too numerous to mention, but if I had to pick one, it would be the nightly sign off. When you have the sounds of over 25 000 people cheering in your headset each night (Thanks Trev, our amazing audio engineer and Sean from Comms), there is no greater pinch me moment.
Josh our amazing Show Caller, Lynelle, and Adenine and the whole Entertainment team from Admin to stage managers, the team in 4K One and Innovative Productions for the fun and the Dance Cam action, the incredible performers - it's awesome to have a yarn with Murray each night and introduce Tommy and his alter ego Jack Farmer, Stunt Revolution and of course the brilliant team from Rooftop Express and seeing K9's soar to new heights with Farmer Dave and to put the cherry atop the Sundae of Awesome the Brilliant Team from Howard and Sons Pyrotechnic who produce the marvellous night-time fireworks display spectacular, it is such an amazing team to work with each and every year!

I look forward to the opportunity of hopefully returning to support and being a part of the Greatest Show in 2026! Travel safe, and we look forward to seeing you all around the arenas in 2026!

This year at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, I was presented with an incredible opportunity to support the Horse Program in the Main Arena as a part of the Announcing Team.
I'd like to thanks the Ring Master Mr James Angus, Head of Entertainment Ms Lynelle Smith, the Chair of the Horse Committee and Councillors for this incredible opportunity. I am incredible honoured and humbled to receive this opportunity to be able to support and add to the magic, moments and memories of show day at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
I would also like to thanks the incredible announcing team of Mr Tim Dreverman (), Mr Jake Smith () and Ms Emma Irene ( ) for their time, support, advice and comradeship in the broadcast box!

Last month saw me return once again to The Sydney Royal Easter Show for twelve days of incredible competition around the grounds (and arenas). I was incredibly humbled and grateful to once again have the opportunity to return to the Cattle Lawns as a part of the Announcing Team for both the Beef and Dairy Cattle Programs of the Sydney Royal Cattle Show. A huge thank you to the Councillors and Cattle Committee of the RAS of NSW for their gracious invitation to return to the lawns again and a massive thank you to the wonderful Announcers I get to work alongside of, at what is arguably one of the nations premier Cattle Shows!

The 2025 Herefords Northern Youth Camp was a very busy but awesome weekend helping to give back to our next generation in the show ring!
I had a great time announcing the Heifer and Youth shows and delivering some of the academic sessions which included Presentation and Judging with the Juniors and Peewees where we had great session looking at the attire we wear and judging techniques that we applied judging tractors and headers from John Deere and Case IH. For the seniors this year I proposed something a little different - this year they learned how to don PPE and respond to a simulated biosecurity scenario. As important it is to don the correct PPE they also learned the importance of correctly doffing (removing) their PPE.
Finally I also assisted in the organised chaos of coordinating the Young Farmers Challenge where all ages had the opportunity to put into place some of their key learnings from the weekend.
