Junior Heifer Expo, well after a pretty rough start it all ended up pretty well, the girls did an awesome job of packing organising, loading and getting the cattle to Adelaide with our ever so cool neighbour Phil and Leigh. Without the help of there Mums, not how we usually roll.
Charlotte didnt have our best steer but he was quiet so just had a good lead and practice on the first day, Georgia Nagel and Red Rock placed fourth and Silvana Humphries heifer lead well also for her.
Day two of Judging seen the girls, show there talents with all 3 receiving a leading prize.
Charlotte took the win in her class, Georgia placing 2nd and Silvana 4th.
Charlotte later in the day went on to win the junior herdsperson award proudly sponsored by Elders, a massive buckle (Charlotte's words) and so now at 10 even if she already thought it and said it she really thinks she's an industry expert apparently 10 years in the industry gives you those rights, she reckons she is there.
Thanks to Everyone that steps up donates there time and knowledge to give these kids the very best information and insight into the broader beef industry, we all take something home with us. Congratulations to the Junior Heifer Expo committee on a great job.

After a very busy week at the Junior Heifer Expo happy to make it home for last years Champion Cow at Adelaide to grace us with a new Bull calf, sired by Monterey Underground whom is throwing some very cool calves and if only he was halter broke he would walk out the paddock and straight on the truck he looks that good, but his weight and size well I am a bit of a wimp to try.
