I made a mistake when baking today & accidentally cooked up cakes in layer cake tins instead of making one big cake to make more Dot Cakes 🤣 Silly me, but I think I rescued it ok & we now have super cute Gluten & Dairy Free Cake Slices. We also finally did a thing w the new Gluten Free that have been sitting on our bench for over a week, patiently waiting to be baked into something. Today, Oreo Cheesecake Cookie Pie landed in our cake cabinet. Kim, one of our baristas also whipped up an Oreo Frappe for a team treat. WOW!!! This followed an insanely good Twix Frappe she made us last week. Safe to say, our drinks menu is getting a glow up real soon.

We are open for dinner tonite 4 - 7pm & standard hours for the rest of this week!

We are inching closer to finally improving our front of house area. We promise the takeaway only is just for one weekend. We need to be able to operate safely as a food business while we have trades on site doing tradie things. Please keep an eye on our socials, things can change quickly w any sort of renovations & we will always update on socials if hours etc need to change.

How good are long weekends! Yes, we are always closed on Mondays, so technically, we already have them off, but often, those we enjoy spending time with are at work. But not on a long weekend. Perfect time to catch up w some of our past & present crew & a few additional friends! Little reminder we are closed Tuesdays in June to get our shop sorted out 🙂

Today was one of those all-around fun days!
We played around with the current Viral Dot Cake Trend. We should definitely make more tomorrow & a 2nd flavour needs to happen!
We tested a Club Sandwich for team lunch & grabbed a pic in our new dine in baskets. We are still in takeaway boxes etc for another week or 2 but soon we will change to thickshakes in proper metal cups, Proper coffee mugs, cutlery & the like for dine in & something tells me the club sandwich is headed our way. I must have made 1000s of them working at a golf resort in my early 20's & they are making a comeback.
We also got some Gluten free crumble cheesecakes through the oven. Knowing it was one of our last bakes before our desperately needed new oven arrives helped get the job done.
Back at it with all things Gluten Free tomorrow for lunch 10 - 2 & dinner 4 - 7 in Figtree 🙂

Team day out for a few of us in the big smoke to sus out some of the latest hospo stuff & suppliers, see the always amazing & listen to him speak & to finally try which was amazing! They packed us a doggies bag cause Sebastian gave us a cheeky snack for the train home 🙂 Solid day out all round! Back at it 2moro w all things Gluten Free in Figtree!
