Malone’s Butchery is a family owned and operated business that is dedicated to bringing premium quality products to its customers while providing exceptional customer service. Utilising our personal relationships, we source the finest quality produce available in Australia to supply our customers, and offer personalised service that is reminiscent of traditional Butchery. Our flagship retail store

opened its doors in Port Douglas QLD, in February 2012. Since then we have established ourselves as a cornerstone business and built a solid reputation with both Locals and Tourists alike. Due to our exceptional staff, we have been lucky enough to leave our Port Douglas store in their capable hands and venture across the border for a new and exciting opportunity. The allure of the Top End has always been strong, with dreams of the North ever present in our minds. With a fresh opportunity and a chance to explore Darwin and the Territory, we could not pass up the option to move across and start this new adventure. 🥇 Another outstanding result for Malone’s Butchery!

A huge congratulations to Tamika Banks for once again taking out the Gold Medal at the WorldSkills Northern Territory Competition.

A massive shout-out also to Zander Trugon, who finished just 1.5 points behind in an incredibly close contest. A fantastic effort and a clear sign he’s ready to represent the Northern Territory at this year’s AMIC Apprentice of the Year competition.

We’re incredibly proud of both team members and everything they’ve achieved. Their dedication, hard work, and commitment to the trade continue to set the standard.

A special thank you to Rob Owen for his ongoing support of the butchery industry across the Northern Territory. Without his dedication, guidance, and encouragement, opportunities like these wouldn’t be possible. Thank you for continually pushing our young butchers to strive higher, do better, and reach their full potential.

The future of NT butchery is looking pretty bright. ❤️🥩

Our apprentices, Tamika Banks & Zander Truong, recently represented the Northern Territory on one of the biggest stages in the world at Meatstock Sydney 2026, competing against some of the best young butchers from Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Scotland and the UK.

Tamika continues to make history, recently being awarded NT Trades & Resources Woman of the Year 2026, adding to her incredible year after already taking out NT Apprentice of the Year and Australian Apprentice of the Year.

We’re also incredibly proud to share that Zander placed 3rd in the world in the Apprentice division at the Australian Butcher Wars — an unbelievable achievement and a true reflection of the hard work and dedication both apprentices have shown all year.

Huge thank you to Rob Owen, CDU, our families, supporters and especially our customers. Without the support from the local community behind Malone’s Butchery, opportunities like this simply wouldn’t be possible.

The NT is proving we can compete with anyone in the world, and we couldn’t be prouder to represent the Territory.
