Looking for a casual legend to join our crew! 🙌

This is a casual position, with shifts available when the van is open and trading — perfect for someone wanting some extra work without committing to a full-time roster.

We need someone who:

⚓ Can handle a fast-paced environment when we’re getting smashed with orders
⚓ Has excellent attention to detail — reading orders correctly, checking them and wrapping them properly
⚓ Can think ahead and see what needs doing before being asked
⚓ Can think for themselves, use initiative and keep things moving
⚓ Is reliable, punctual and ready to work
⚓ Takes pride in keeping the van clean, organised and running smoothly
⚓ Works well as part of a team and can have a laugh while still getting the job done
⚓ Cares about sending out quality food every single time

📍 Yeppoon based

We travel around Central Queensland with the van, so if you're able to travel with us occasionally, that would be AMAZING! 🚐🐟
But if travelling isn't possible, that's completely fine — Yeppoon work is available too.

Experience in hospitality or food handling would be great, but the right attitude, common sense and willingness to learn are just as important.

If you're someone who doesn't need to be told every little thing, can keep your head when we're busy and takes pride in doing a job properly, we'd love to hear from you!

OK LEGENDS!!! ❤️🦐🐟

I just want to take a minute to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to every single person who has supported The Salty Seaman Seafood. Whether you've bought a feed, shared a post, recommended us to a mate, followed us from town to town or just stopped for a chat — you guys are the reason this little business keeps growing. ❤️

But most of all, I need to give a HUGE shoutout to my amazing twin sons, James & Brody. ❤️

James — aka BIG SEXY 😂 — is off smashing out his butcher's apprenticeship at Emu Park Meats, and I couldn't be prouder of him.

And then there's Brody. ❤️

Brody has dedicated his "gap year" to travelling around Queensland with his mum, working his bloody arse off and helping me build The Salty Seaman into what it is today. Early mornings, late nights, huge drives, setting up, packing down, cooking, cleaning and putting up with me along the way (wrestling turkeys just ask him) 😂 — he's been there for all of it.

But eventually I've got to let the poor bu**er escape his mother and follow his own dream! 😂

So I'm putting the feelers out nice and early...

⚡️ FROM JANUARY 2027, BRODY WILL BE LOOKING FOR AN ELECTRICAL APPRENTICESHIP! ⚡️

He completed Grade 12 at St Brendan's in 2025 with amazing grades while also studying his Certificate II in Electrotechnology through TAFE part-time. He passed both with flying colours!!!

I'm obviously biased because I'm his mum 😂 but he genuinely is one of the best young Aussie blokes you'll meet. He's reliable, respectful, practical, not afraid of hard work and has a killer work ethic.

I reckon being brought up by me might have had something to do with that. 😂💪

I'd absolutely hate to lose my right-hand man, but he's got his own dreams to chase and I want to help him get there.

So to all the tradies, sparkies, mine workers, contractors, business owners and everyone we've met on our travels — if you know someone who might be looking for a bloody good electrical apprentice for 2027, please keep Brody in mind. ⚡️

A recommendation, a contact, a tag or even just sharing this post could lead him to the opportunity he's been working towards.

I'm ridiculously proud of both my boys and couldn't have built this business without their support.

What an amazing weekend — a fantastic committee, brilliant atmosphere and such a great crowd! We absolutely loved being a part of it and cooking for everyone who came along and supported us. 🐟🍟❤️

A massive congratulations to everyone involved behind the scenes. The amount of work that goes into putting on an event like this certainly doesn't go unnoticed!

We would absolutely LOVE to come back and see you all again next year! 🏁🐎🍻
