Do you remember when this happened?
Back in 2019 B.C., before COVID-19, we held our renaming ceremony. It was a time of mixed emotions; the Media Cooperative Credit Union was transitioning to the Reliance Cooperative Credit Union, which made a bitter/sweet episode. The name change was part of our celebration as we acknowledged our 35 years of growth while laying the groundwork for the next 35 years.
Over time, what started as a savings and support tool for Nation Publishing staff became a national financial institution. We have accomplished a lot, mainly on the shoulders of our founders and early caretakers; we will salute them soon, so look out for that. Equipped with decades of knowledge, we were ready to dive into the future and expand our suite of products and services.
As Reliance Credit Union, we're so happy to share this space in time with you. We're also excited to chat with you on social media, loving every moment.
