'তারে জামিন পার' সিনেমায় ঈশানের পিতা নিকুম্ভের সঙ্গে দেখা করতে আসলে, ফেরত যাওয়ার সময় নিকুম্ভ তাকে 'সলোমন আইল্যান্ডস' সম্পর্কে একটা তথ্য দিয়েছিলেন। এই অঞ্চলের আদিবাসীদের যদি জঙ্গলের কোনো অংশ পরিষ্কার করার দরকার পড়ে, চাষ করার জন্য; তখন তারা বৃক্ষগুলো কাটে না। তারা সবাই একত্র হয় জঙ্গলের সামনে। তারপর ঘণ্টার পর ঘণ্টা ইচ্ছামতো ঐ বৃক্ষগুলোকে গাল দেয়, অভিশাপ দেয়, ঘৃণা বর্ষণ করে। পরবর্তী এক সপ্তাহের মধ্যে বৃক্ষগুলো নিজ থেকে শুকিয়ে মরে যায়।

বাংলাদেশের প্রতিটা অনলাইন নিউজপোর্টালের কমেন্টবক্স আমার কাছে একেক টুকরো সলোমন আইল্যান্ডস বলে মনে হয়।
