Went to Fry Bucket, Wari branch on 31st August because they had a month-end offer on their buckets, so I decided to try their 8-piece offer.

They used to serve pretty good fried chicken, but honestly, the quality has gone downhill a lot. The outer coating was extremely thick, chewy, and almost tasteless. The chicken itself was also very bland, and overall, the meal was genuinely disappointing.

They seriously need to work on their food quality because it feels like the standard is dropping very quickly. Hopefully they take the feedback seriously and bring back the quality they used to have.

Visited Emerald Bakery on 1st August 2026, and honestly, there's not much to say about the atmosphere other than it's one of the prettiest cafés in town. They have multiple rooms, each with its own vibe, with dim lighting that makes it a perfect spot for hanging out or even a date.

For the food, I tried their orange americano – Tk 325, creamy carbonara with chicken – Tk 695, and pistachio eclair – Tk 195 from their bakery section.

The orange americano wasn't really my thing. It's definitely more of an acquired taste, and I guess I'm just not part of that club. Not really my cup of tea.

The creamy carbonara with chicken came in a really generous portion and tasted fresh and delicious. The only issue was that it started getting a bit dry as the penne absorbed the cream, but it was still a really good dish. Easily shareable between two people if you're ordering other items as well.

Finally, the pistachio eclair was the highlight for me. Easily one of the best eclairs I've had, and for Tk 195, the taste and quality were honestly impressive. I'd genuinely come back here just for this.

Went to Indulge Cafe located at Unimart Wari
Ordered their Doi Fuchka – Tk 175 and Chocolate eclair – Tk 160.

The doi fuchka was definitely the highlight. The curd was thiccc with triple C’s and honestly superb. The portion was also really filling, so no complaints there.

The chocolate eclair was good enough, but I've definitely had better eclairs elsewhere.

Overall, the doi fuchka was a winner, while the eclair was just okay.

Went back to Dining Lounge Wari after almost a year. I've been coming here on and off for the last 5–6 years, so when I saw their Buy 1 Pasta, Get 1 for Tk 99 offer, I had to give it a try.

Triple Cheese & Cream Baked Pasta – Tk 430 The cheese was generous, but the pasta itself was pretty bland. It needed a lot more seasoning, and the creamy texture was barely there. I also felt like the portion was a little smaller than what I remember them serving before. 6/10

Chef's Signature Pasta – Tk 413 This one was a letdown. It had more spices than the baked pasta, but the flavour just wasn't it. The toppings were also very limited. I'd honestly skip this one and go for their regular Pasta Basta instead. 4/10

Visited the much-hyped Brewed Harmony InterContinental Dhanmondi to watch the World Cup final on their massive 100-inch TV. The screening experience was great—they had reservation tickets priced at Tk 1,200 per person and even gave us gift bags with country emblems, crests, and hand flags, which was a really nice touch.

Coming to the food:

Fettuccine Alfredo – Tk 660 A really good pasta dish that was served piping hot. The flavour was great, although I do wish the portion was slightly bigger for the price. 8/10

Crispy Chicken Wrap – Tk 570 Couldn't get a photo of this one, but my God, it was absolutely delicious. Packed with chicken and flavour. The fries were a bit too crispy for my liking, but the wrap easily made up for it. 9/10

Crispy Chicken Romano – Tk 660 Served with mashed potatoes and mushroom rice. The mashed potatoes were the real game changer here—absolutely amazing. The chicken was slightly dry but tasted good, and the portion size was surprisingly generous. 8/10

Sriracha Butterfly Chicken – Tk 750 Served with potato wedges and mushroom rice. Unfortunately, this was disappointing. To be fair, we ate it almost an hour after it was served, which probably didn't help, but the sriracha flavour felt very lacking and the chicken portion wasn't as impressive as the Romano. 4/10

Iced Latte – Tk 280 Your regular iced latte, although it tasted a bit watered down. 6/10

Cheesecake Frappe – Tk 490 No words—this was just way too good. Easily one of the best things we ordered. 9.5/10

Overall, the ambience and World Cup screening experience were excellent. Most of the food was really enjoyable, and I'd definitely go back to try more from their menu.

Dropped by Abesh Hotel 's Bashundhara Branch once again and decided to try their Chicken Jhal Fry with parathas.

The Chicken Jhal Fry was pretty good. The flavour was on point and tasted just like a proper jhal fry should. My only complaint would be the chicken portion—it could definitely have been a bit more generous. I'd give it an 8/10.

The parathas were surprisingly huge and paired really well with the gravy. They're filling and definitely worth ordering if you're hungry.

Overall, a satisfying meal for the price, and Abesh Hotel continues to be a solid option for a quick deshi lunch.

Visited Turkey Kabab & Sea Food in Wari today, one of the more popular kebab spots in the area, and ordered a variety of dishes.

We tried the Chicken Adana Kebab, Chicken Boti Kebab, Special Chicken Creamy Chaap, Achari Chicken, and Masala Chicken.

Overall, it was a mixed experience. The Masala Chicken and Special Chicken Creamy Chaap were definitely the standouts—both were flavourful and worth ordering.

The Achari Chicken and Chicken Boti Kebab were below average and didn't really stand out. The biggest disappointment, though, was the Chicken Adana Kebab. Unfortunately, it just wasn't good, and I wouldn't recommend it.

The only other downside was the portion size of the gravy dishes, which felt a bit small for the price.

Overall, a decent experience with a couple of good dishes, but I'd only come back for the Masala Chicken and Special Chicken Creamy Chaap.

Chicken Khichuri — Tk 220

For the price, I honestly have no complaints. The portion was decent, it came with two pieces of chicken, and they also served gravy on the side, which was a nice touch.

The only thing is that I personally prefer my khichuri to be a little stickier, similar to the style served at places like Ghorowa or Hirajheel in Motijheel—even though I feel the quality at those places has dropped over the years. That said, this was still a satisfying meal and definitely worth the price.

7.5/10

Milk Tea — Tk 30

Unfortunately, this one wasn't for me. The tea tasted pretty average, and compared to nearby places like Magpie, it was quite disappointing. For Tk 30, it's affordable, but I'd have to skip it next time.

4/10

Will hopefully try their kebab items next time.

Visited White Canary Café’s Tejgaon branch on a Friday evening, and as expected, the place was pretty busy. The food took around 30 minutes to arrive, but with the atmosphere up on the 24th floor, the wait honestly didn’t feel too bad.

Croissant & Eggs Benedict — Tk 630

For the price, I thought the portion was quite good. The croissant was filling, tasted great, and although things got a little messy while eating it, I didn’t really mind. The only part I wasn’t a big fan of was the potatoes on the side. Other than that, a really enjoyable dish.

8/10

Harley Quinn — Tk 770

Apparently one of their bestsellers, and honestly, the name alone had me curious. It’s basically a red velvet French toast topped with a scoop of ice cream, and it tasted as good as it looked.

The portion was huge and could easily be shared between two people. I personally would’ve liked a little more chocolate drizzle and some extra of their special cream cheese, but that’s really the only thing I could complain about. The taste itself was amazing.

8.5/10

Overall, it was a really good experience.

Visited Chillox Wari today, and the place was packed. We were lucky to find a few empty seats.

Chicken Burger (Extra Spicy) — Tk 235

Honestly, this was much better than the burgers I had on my previous visits. I wish it was a little spicier, but other than that, the flavour was really good. For Tk 235, you really can’t complain. A solid budget burger and definitely worth trying.

8.5/10

Continental Fusion Rice Bowl — Tk 325

Wanted to try something different this time, but this was easily the biggest disappointment of the meal. It was supposed to be creamy, but honestly, it felt pretty dry and just wasn’t what I expected at all. I think I’ll just stick to their burgers from now on.

4/10

Brownie Shake — Tk 240

Didn’t expect much from this one, but it ended up being my favourite thing we ordered. It actually had chunks of brownie mixed into the shake, which made it really rich and satisfying. It’s only Tk 55 more than their cold coffee, and for that difference, I’d definitely pick this instead.

9/10

Overall, it was a good visit. The burger was much better than I remembered, and the brownie shake was easily the highlight. The rice bowl was a miss for me, though. Next time, I’m probably just sticking to the burgers and getting that shake again.
