Let’s give back to the community that has given us so much. ❤️🍻

Many of you know the Beer Geeks Facebook group: a huge beer community that started in the Netherlands and quickly found its way to Belgium. We’re incredibly proud to have been part of this community for more than a decade. Over the years, so many of you have supported us, and we’re truly grateful for that.

A few years ago, Beer Geeks launched a fundraiser to fight ALS. Now, we finally have the chance to give something back. We purchased a keg of Rare Bourbon County Brand Stout 2015 at auction. Every euro goes directly to Beer Geeks Beat ALS, supporting the search for a cure for this terrible disease.

This keg is also something truly special, only two kegs were ever filled, and one of them was opened at the brewery in Chicago.

And we’re not stopping there. We’re sharing this with you at Billie’s Craft Beer Fest. Alongside a lineup of 60 international breweries, we’ll be pouring this keg as a special extra on Friday and Saturday, our way of giving back to the people who have supported us all these years.

Together, we can make a difference. 💪🍺

Het is alweer een tijd geleden dat we iets gepost hebben, en je vraagt je misschien af wat we momenteel doen.

Ooit zijn we gestart met kleine craft beer tastings, gezellige events in kelders en het uitbaten van een craft beer bar op festivals. Later kwamen onze bekende Billie’s Craft Beer Fest- evenementen, die we (Kristof, Johan en Tom) nog steeds organiseren samen met Stéfan (Billie’s Bier Kafétaria) en Geert.

In de loop der jaren is HopIsHop uitgegroeid tot een groter bedrijf, met een nieuwe focus binnen de craft beer wereld. We verhuren tapinstallaties aan bierfestivals, zowel in binnen- als buitenland. We leven er niet van, en dat is ook niet de bedoeling – maar onze passie en hobby om craft beer bij de mensen te brengen, blijft altijd branden. Het feit dat we festivals kunnen ondersteunen door hen te voorzien van goed uitgeruste tapinstallaties, geeft ons extra voldoening.

It’s been a while since we last posted, and you might be wondering what we’re up to these days.

We started out with small craft beer tastings, cozy events in cellars, and running a craft beer bar at festivals. Later, we began organizing our well-known Billie’s Craft Beer Fest events, which we (Kristof, Johan and Tom) still do together with Stéfan (Billie’s Bier Kafétaria) and Geert.

Over the years, HopIsHop has grown into a larger company with a new focus within the craft beer world. We now rent out tap installations to beer festivals both domestically and internationally. We don’t make a living from it—and that’s not the goal—but our passion and hobby to bring craft beer to people’s attention continue to burn brightly. Supporting festivals by providing well-equipped tap systems is something that gives us extra satisfaction.
