🍇 MEET OUR TEAM - FIEN 🍇
If you’ve ever stepped into The Barn, chances are you’ve already met Fien… or at least felt her impact. 💥 For the past 6 incredible years, Fien has been part of The Barn. She started with us as a student, grew into our Manager of Fruits & Veggies, and is now the proud store manager of The Barn Antwerp Zuid. From people to produce, she has a way of making everything run smoother than a perfectly ripe avocado. 🥑
With a passion for freshness that’s as deep as her love for the team, she’s the creative force behind those stunning mountains of seasonal produce you see every day. 🏔️
One of her favorite moments at The Barn ? Team-building adventures, like the legendary day at Les Potagers de la Grange (our own production), where she earned the nickname “menlievende druiven” (loving grape). Sweet, caring, always watching out for others, and never far from a good laugh. And honestly? We couldn’t think of a better nickname. 🍇
Of course, even the best managers have their legendary moments… 😜One day, Fien accidentally ordered 20 crates of green bell peppers instead of pumpkins from Milagro. The result? For a week, our markets were drowning in peppers and a sweet memory that will probably live on forever. 🫑😂
When she’s not keeping Antwerp Zuid running like a well-oiled machine, you’ll find Fien spiking volleyballs, enjoying the great outdoors, or bringing her infectious energy to her friends and family. 🏐
Fien is one of those people who makes work feel like family: reliable, caring, full of energy, and always bringing the most positive vibes. But being a great store manager is about so much more than keeping the store running. Fien makes sure everyone feels good, brings the right people into the team, coaches and supports them to grow, and creates an environment where people genuinely enjoy coming to work. She knows how to bring out the best in her team while making sure everything behind the scenes runs smoothly. That’s a big part of why both our team and our veggie section don’t just survive, but thrive. 🙌
