WE’RE OFFICIALLY OUT THERE!

We’re incredibly proud to finally share that our waterkefir jam, waterkefir soda (pre-order) and waterkefir grains are now available Fermenthings.

This is such a special moment for us.
From an idea to give food by-products a new life, to experimenting, endless tasting and creating… and now our very first products are actually on the shelf.

We’re so happy and grateful for this opportunity, and for everyone who has supported us along the way. 🙏🫶

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Vegetable Garden Dinner!

It was such a special occasion to enjoy a delicious three-course dinner together, prepared with fresh ingredients straight from our own vegetable garden. From garden to plate – with love, care and flavour.

Your presence, enthusiasm and the lovely atmosphere made this evening unforgettable. Thanks to everyone who helped out, cooked and, of course, to all the guests who joined us.

Thanks to your enthusiasm, we’re already looking forward to organising the next one! 💚

What a lovely, warm, and flavourful workshop it was once again!
Together, we delved into the world of forgotten plants, discovered new recipes, and got creative in the kitchen. From ground ivy to carrots: unusual ingredients were given their rightful place on the table once more.

We tasted, cooked, learnt new things, and, above all, laughed a lot. 💚

Thank you to everyone for the cosy atmosphere, curiosity, the lovely conversations and all the wonderful moments of laughter. You made this workshop absolutely perfect!

A huge thank you to Marie-Claire, Sander, Nick, and Annemie from Fleurakker for letting me pick my way through all those delicious ingredients. 🌱

And of course, lots of love to the Kennismaken team for all their support, warmth, and enthusiasm.

The journey of Neat & Nature

We initially started by developing household products based on residual streams.

Today, we are able to close the loop completely with the production of waterkefir.

We are proud of how we have been able to transform residual streams into valuable solutions and of the problem-solving approach that has been central to this process.

We hope to grow this project into a fully professional venture in the coming years. What started as an idea has gradually evolved into something with real potential, and we’re excited about what lies ahead.

At the same time, we want to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone who has supported us over the past years.

Your encouragement, feedback, and trust have been essential in helping us reach this point.

We truly couldn’t have done this without you. ❤️❤️❤️

Lately, I have been experimenting with waterkefir in various forms of biomass.
The idea is simple but fascinating: using micro-organisms to activate natural processes and thus discover new applications.

What fascinates me most is how small microbial ecosystems can have a major impact on sustainability and circular systems. Each experiment yields new insights: sometimes surprising, sometimes chaotic, but always educational.

This is just the beginning of the process – lots of testing, observing, and adjusting.
But it is precisely this experimentation that makes it so interesting.

Gratful for those moments.

Did you know that you can make beautiful jewellery from orange peels?

What often ends up in the bin can actually be given a second life.
By drying orange peels and processing them creatively, you can create unique and natural jewellery with a warm colour and a special look.

Every piece is different, just like nature itself.
Sustainable, creative, and made with love — this is how something simple becomes something very special.

Sometimes, beauty can be found in what we would otherwise throw away.

In a world where everything has to be faster, more efficient, and more perfect, true beauty lies in the organic world.

In leftover forms.
In materials that have already lived a life.
In what remains.

Organic waste flows carry a story.

Fibers, grains, discolorations — traces of growth, of seasons, of time.
When you choose not to discard that material but to look at it again, something shifts: it is no longer waste, but potential.

Drying material requires patience. It cannot be forced without losing something.
It shrinks, sometimes warps, changes color. It slows you down. And that is precisely where something meaningful happens: you begin to observe, To feel, To attune.

Taking time to create has almost become an act of resistance. No rush, no mass production — just attention. Layer by layer. Hand by hand. In that process, it is not only the material that is shaped — you are shaped with it.

Perhaps the real beauty is not in the final result.
But in slowing down.
In respecting the natural rhythm.
In allowing something to emerge rather than forcing it into being.

Working organically is not perfect. It is alive.
And that is exactly what makes it valuable.

I find happiness in the joy I can bring to others. It is always something special for me to surprise people with new flavours.

When I share new flavours, I hope to create not only a culinary experience but also valuable moments together. It is wonderful to see how these connections bring us closer together and open up conversations about our personal preferences and experiences.

I am truly grateful to be able to share all this with you.
