The technical challenge is (obviously) what drives me, but also the wonderful opportunity to meet and talk to people, to share part of this adventure with them, and invite those who want to take the road with me for a few miles (or more). Cover not less than 2448 miles in around 60 days using only solar energy. Technology ? The Prodecotech Phantom X3 electric bike will be equipped with a homemade
aluminum and carbon fiber - spectra trailer, supporting the 6 solar panels HQST lightweight regulated by a high-tech computer, that will allow me to travel only with the power of the sun (and a little muscle power too ;-). The bike can reach up to 20 miles per hour when the sun is shining and up to 100 miles thanks to the 4* 10 Amper Hours Lithium Polymer batteries. We’re at the limit of today’s technology, but I hope to proof that sooner men will able to ride in a new, very ecological way, with only natural power, and doing so, taking more care of our dear Planet Earth. Ma motivation ? Le challenge technique est évidement ce qui me motive, mais cela amène aussi une formidable occasion de rencontrer et discuter avec les gens que je vais croiser sur mon chemin, cela me donnera l’opportunité de partager une partie de ce rêve avec eux. Qui sait, certains se joindront peut-être à moi pour quelques kilomètres (ou plus). Mon Challenge ? Parcourir pas moins de 3940 kilomètres en plus ou moins 60 jours en utilisant uniquement l’énergie solaire. La technologie ? Le Prodecotech Phantom X3 (un des vélos électriques les plus performants) sera équipé d’une remorque faite maison en fibre de carbonne - spectra. Celle-ci supporte les 6 panneaux solaires HQST lightweight régulés par un ordinateur high-tech, qui me permettra de voyager pendant 60 jours grâce à l’énergie du soleil et, si nécessaire, quelques coups de pédale (et un peu de puissance musculaire aussi !). Le vélo peut atteindre 32 kilomètres / heure quand le soleil brille et 160 kilomètres grâce à des batteries Lithium Polymère de 4* 10 Ampères / heure. Nous sommes à un tournant de la technologie actuelle et j’espère que, bientôt, nous serons à même de conduire et de nous déplacer d’une manière nouvelle, écologique, induite uniquement par des sources naturelles, afin de pouvoir mieux prendre soin de notre chère planète.
