I’m sitting here in complete tears writing this.
MLK & HNY has officially been voted Best of Bermuda for Baked Goods, and I truly couldn’t thank you enough!
First and foremost, all glory be to God. Through every season, every challenge, every lesson, and every blessing, His faithfulness has carried me farther than I could have imagined. I am beyond grateful.
MLK & HNY may have my name attached to it, but this award belongs to so many people who have poured themselves into this dream.
To my grandparents, thank you for allowing me to completely take over the kitchen every single day 😅. Thank you for never complaining, never asking for anything in return (other than a few cookies and extras 😂), but instead seeing the vision and understanding what was possible.
“Respice Finem, Keep the end in view.“ A phrase that you both continue to live by and remind us of often, and because of you, I always have.
To my brother Tiante Swan , thank you. From the very beginning, you jumped into action. You quite literally hand rolled hundreds and hundreds of cookies without being asked and made it your mission to help me succeed every chance you got.
To my aunties, uncles, godparents, and siblings, thank you for supporting me long before MLK & HNY was even a thought. Your advice and encouragement are things I still value and stand on to this day.
And to my boyfriend, thank you for showing up every single day, for keeping me grounded, and for never allowing me to give up. Your support means more than you’ll ever know. 🤍
