We visited Lovina at Ponta de Campina and left quite disappointed.

We ordered the Moqueca de Banana-da-Terra (vegetarian) for R$169. One important thing nobody told us is that it's a double portion, easily enough for 4 people. While that's good to know, the price is still higher than at most nearby restaurants, and unfortunately the moqueca wasn't as tasty as others we've had in the region.

We also tried the Fruit Cocktail R$ 29 (non-alcoholic), made with condensed milk, cream, fresh fruit, and topped with ice cream. It was ok nothingamazing. The Gin Rosso R$ 32 (gin, strawberries, strawberry syrup, tonic water, and Sicilian lemon) was less impressive, as the strawberries didn't seem very fresh.

As for the beach club itself, I don't think it's worth visiting. It's very crowded with tour groups, they don't even have their own beach chairs, and they tried to charge R$50 to use chairs on the beach, which felt like an unreasonable price.

There are much better restaurants and beach clubs nearby offering better food, better service, and better value. We'd recommend skipping this one.

Looking for the perfect souvenir from Paraíba? 🛍️✨

MAP – Mercado de Artesanato Paraibano is one of the best places in João Pessoa to discover local crafts. With dozens of stores under one roof, you'll find everything from handmade lace, ceramics, wood carvings, hammocks, clothing, decorations, and unique gifts.

While some products are mass-produced, many are genuinely handcrafted and one of a kind, making it worth taking your time to explore every corner.

You can also buy local and Northeast Brazilian specialties, including the region's famous spicy sauces 🌶️ & cachaça, they're delicious, affordable, and make a great gift to take home.

One thing I really liked is that the market isn't just about shopping. You'll also find an explanation of the Paraíba state flag and its history.

Don't miss the incredible paintings by Edinaldo Gonzaga Edinaldo Gonzaga / Ateliê Os Curumins | Gamela 🎨, and be sure to visit P A R A Y B A N A ‘S, who creates beautiful handmade clothing—and don't forget to say hi to her adorable cat Mapinho! 🐈 P A R A Y B A N A ‘S

It's one of the few places in João Pessoa fully dedicated to local artisans, and thanks to its convenient location, it's an easy stop whether you're sightseeing or looking for authentic souvenirs.

🏛️ Centro Cultural São Francisco - 5/5 [1/2]

Without a doubt, one of the highlights of João Pessoa's historic center. Originally built as a Franciscan convent and church complex in the 16th century, it now operates as a cultural center and museum, preserving centuries of history and some of the finest Baroque architecture in Brazil.

Inside, you'll discover richly carved wooden altarpieces, historic paintings, religious artwork, and beautifully preserved halls and cloisters. The museum also features exhibitions on Paraíba's culture, including a collection of colorful Carnival costumes and traditional artifacts. Every room reveals another piece of the state's history, making this one of the most interesting and rewarding places to visit in João Pessoa.
