Farm Manager – Sesarona Farms (Molepolole branch)
Sesarona Farms is seeking a dedicated, hardworking, and experienced Farm Manager to lead the daily operations of our expanding mixed farming enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage poultry, sheep, goats, rabbits, and other livestock.
- Oversee horticultural production, including vegetable and crop cultivation, irrigation, pest and disease control, fertiliser application, harvesting, and post-harvest handling.
- Supervise farm employees and coordinate daily work schedules.
- Implement breeding, feeding, vaccination, and biosecurity programmes.
- Monitor animal health and crop performance to maximise productivity.
- Maintain accurate production, financial, inventory, and farm records.
- Manage farm equipment, vehicles, irrigation systems, buildings, and other infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Assist with marketing and sales of livestock, chicks, eggs, vegetables, and other farm products.
- Prepare production plans, budgets, and reports, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Horticulture, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of practical experience managing a mixed farm.
- Strong knowledge of livestock production and horticultural crop management.
- Good leadership, communication, and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to manage staff and work independently.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Computer literacy is an added advantage.
