🌿 Green Veld & Goats – Benefits and Caution 🐐

Green veld provides excellent nutrition for goats, improving growth, fertility, milk production, and overall health due to its rich vitamins, minerals, and moisture content.

However, lush veld can also cause bloating, diarrhea, parasite exposure, and poisoning from toxic plants if goats graze excessively or suddenly.

To reduce risks, introduce goats gradually to green veld, provide dry roughage like hay before grazing, practise rotational grazing, maintain regular deworming, and provide mineral supplements.

Proper management turns green veld into a powerful tool for herd productivity.

We've got a new sheriff in town! An anatolian shepherd acquired from our good friends at Prime Boerboeles.

Anatolian shepherd dogs originate from Turkey (Anatolia region) and are highly intelligent and protective breed of dogs. They're very gentle with goats and lambs once they bond and they stay with the herd 24/7 protecting them from predators.
