In a world of texts, emails, and online booking forms... this showed up in my mailbox today.
A handwritten letter.
Not an email. Not a Facebook message. Not a Google request.
A neighbour took the time to sit down, grab a pen, and write a letter because she remembered chatting with me when she first moved into the neighbourhood.
She has a couple of leaking sinks and a toilet that won't refill after flushing. Instead of searching "plumber near me," she wrote:
"Hello Everett..."
Honestly, that means a lot.
At ER Plumbing & Heating, we spend plenty of time fixing pipes, drains, water heaters, and plumbing systems. But moments like this remind me that what we're really building is trust.
When someone feels comfortable enough to reach out with a handwritten note because they remember a conversation from years ago.
To the wonderful neighbour who wrote this letter: thank you. We'll be happy to help.
And to everyone who supports local businesses, recommends us to friends, waves when they see our trucks, or trusts us in their homes and businessesβthank you for helping us build the kind of company people still write letters to.
