⚠ Public Advisory: Province-Wide Fire Ban in Effect

A fire ban has been declared for the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador due to elevated Fire Weather Index ratings and extensive wildfire activity in Labrador. The ban is effective immediately until July 17.

Water Use Advisory – Immediate Reduction Required

Due to excessive use of water from residents filling swimming pools, using sprinklers and washing vehicles, this has caused mechanical strain on the system and has already contributed to recent pump failures. All residents must reduce water consumption immediately.

The following activities are not permitted at this time:

Filling swimming pools
Washing vehicles
Using water sprinklers and all other water activities

You may water flowers only in the evening, when overall water demand is lower.

These measures are necessary to stabilize the system and prevent additional service interruptions. Continued excessive use will require the Town to identify non‑compliant users and disconnect service if needed.
