Established in 2012 with just a few chicks, quail and of course our two dogs, our hobby farm is a haven for our animals. Located on the picturesque South Shore of Nova Scotia, we have created a nurturing and sustainable environment for our beloved animals to thrive. They bring joy, laughter, and a sense of connection to the natural world. From our gentle donkey (Greta), who greets visitors with a
friendly bray, to our majestic horse (Boone), who embodies grace and strength, each animal has a unique personality and charm. Our goats (Lenny, Garth, Karla, Dolly, Bindi & Freckles), with their mischievous antics, never fail to entertain. They roam the woods and fields, exploring and grazing on nature's bounty. Meanwhile, our lively chickens scratch and peck, providing us with fresh eggs every morning. Their cheerful clucks echo through the air, reminding us of the simple pleasures in life. Our loyal dogs (Woobie & Emery), ever-watchful and affectionate, are not only our companions but also guardians of the farm. And let's not forget our quacking ducks, adding a touch of whimsy as they waddle around the yard, delighting visitors of all ages. Beyond the animals, our hobby farm is a sanctuary for nature itself. We embrace sustainable and organic practices, nurturing the land and fostering a harmonious relationship with our surroundings. But our farm is more than just a collection of animals and plants.
