I've been learning about and preparing GF specific recipes for my daughter for three years now, more and more frequently when we're unhappy with prepacked GF foods, or untasty/dense GF baked goods available. I've been sharing when I find successful recipes, and recently when a friend couldn't find something I'd posted, she suggested starting a page for me to post info and recipes. We discovered 3

years ago that our daughter had developed a gluten sensitivity about 6 months after needing an invasive surgery to remove her ruptured appendix. 12 day hospital stay, surgery, abdominal drains & IV antibiotics were needed to help our 12 year old recover from being so sick. I did follow advice to include probiotics in her diet afterwards to help her tummy bugs recover from the potent antibiotics used, but from what I've learned developing gluten sensitivity is becoming more common for patients after similar situations.
