A few highlights from the last couple weeks.

The corn is tall!
The barley silage is in a pile and covered.
We have fencing projects completed, which include 2 bull pastures and a heifer pasture.
We have the square hay bales all done and stacked under shelter.
We even started cleaning corrals and weaning a few older calves.

We still have 550 round hay bales to pick, the corn silage to harvest and combining is right around the corner.

Thanks to our silaging crew and our fencing crew, your efforts allowed us to get other things done.

Wyatt's Sheep Division Update

Wyatt has taken his two ewes out on the road! Missy 6N and Patricia 2P.

In June, Wyatt purchased a Hampshire ram from Ontario, and he's now settled at home.

Grasslands highlights
- 2nd in the open show with the pair
- 2nd in the Jr show with Patty
- 2nd in the Jr show with Missy
- Reserve Champion Cloverbud Showperson
- He purchased a Dorset Ewe Lamb at the sale
- he stayed involved with the show and helped others and networked. He even got offers to purchase Patty, he was flattered, but respectfully declined.

SK 4-H Provincial Show Highlights
- 2nd in ewe lamb class with Patty
- Reserve Champion Ewe Lamb with Patty
- 1st in class with Missy
- 2nd in class with Missy and Patty
- Champion Costume
- Champion Cloverbud Beef Team Grooming

Tim and I are very impressed, Wyatt did all the work himself and just needed a driver and a heavy lifter! It was really cool hearing lots of compliments about Wyatt and his sheep.

The Missy, Patty and the ram and dorset Ewe Lamb (Pearl) are 100% Wyatt owned!

Crown Hill 4-H Achievement Day was this past weekend.

A few highlights:
Alannah - Top Showperson
Alannah - Grand Champion Steer
Alannah - 2nd place senior grooming

Wyatt - Grand Champion Sheep Project
Wyatt - Cloverbud record book winner
Wyatt showed his very own bull calf and sheep

Overall a good day! Very proud of these two. Next stop, Prairieland Junior Ag Showcase.

Seeding has been stalled due to the rain. But we have about 500 acres seeded so far. We are taking advantage of the rain...

Last fall we purchased a piece of Churchill Cattle history and we are not disappointed!

Here's pictures of 459B and her Churchill Stampede bull calf taken in Febrary-March.

Even bigger news: we have flushed her to two different bulls so far and have 45 frozen embryos! One more planned flush and we will get her and the recips home for the summer.

We flushed her to Brookhill Moonshine 4M and Loewen Sandhill L70, with one more bull to go.

Today was bittersweet and exciting all at the same time.

Our little man, Ninja, started his journey to his new home, in Ontario.

We have many great memories of him and we wish him luck on his travel and new pasture!

As an ode to his strength and how well he turned out, here's just a few memories of Ninja.

If you haven't heard Ninja's life story, in short, he was orphaned at 3 months of age, and we were all devastated. Not being sure how he would turn out, we all worked hard to give him the best shot. And by winter he was looking sharp!

Who doesn't love baby lambs! Mrs Boss and Wyatt's sheepish adventure have resulted in 2 really nice ewe lambs so far. Phoebe (white spotted) was born March 17th and Patricia (black) was born March 30. Both very healthy and growing like weeds!

The ewes are Hampshires and they were bred to a Canadian Arcott ram.
