Did you know that bees create an electrostatic charge to attract pollen to their bodies as they pass by?

They then mix the pollen with nectar to form balls in special “pollen baskets” on their hind legs and bring it back to the hive where it is mixed with honey to create a high-protein “bee bread” to feed growing larvae.

See you in September little spuds!

A few years ago we learned from the organic potato farmer that we buy our seed potato from that planting them just a little bit later means missing the natural window for Colorado potato beetle. That one tip has saved us so much time and helped our potato harvest immensely.

It is almost zucchini season and I am so excited about it. So many zucchini ideas for this year😋
