This is largely completely false. Typically the profit margins on cheap alcohol are far greater than they are on a super premium halo product. Not only must you factor in considerably higher cost of selected ingredients, production time, time honoured human skill and appellation but in the example of aged spirits, most of the alcohol is lost to the angels. This loss can be anything from 3:1 to a complete loss of a barrel. The benefits that you gain through extended aging are vast but includes an important concentration of the remaining flavours, without the need to proof down your spirit with water. When buying one bottle of luxury Scotch or Cognac consider all the bottles that were lost along the way and that you are indirectly paying for, the multiplication adds up fast. Don’t forget to factor in 50+ years of storage and often multiple highly sort after and expensive barrels.

Each and every cocktail in our collection uses ingredients that are blended in perfect harmony in order to create a cocktail that is every bit as good as the one you find in a world class cocktail bar, this takes time and cost a lot of money.
