Hi everyone, Adam here. I have some updates to share for Soul Bowl. I am moving away in 2.5 weeks. In anticipation of my move, I am offering a huge Summer Case Sale on my remaining inventory. Perfect timing with back to school and the end of summer vacations right around the corner.

3 words... SOUL BOWL🍴SOBEYS🍴SAFEWAY!!

We're super excited to announce that we're a part of the local vendor program!! Huge thanks to for picking up our products at a market, taking a shot on us, and listing our sauces!!!

Our sauces will be hitting the shelves at select locations in CGY & Greater CGY very soon. We dropped off our very first order today in the beautifully renovated Safeway - Mission on 4th St & Elbow Dr.

Hit us up in the comments or DMs with the quadrant, area of the city, or town that you would love to see our products in!

Huge thank you to each and every one of you who has supported Soul Bowl over the last 3 years. This is a huge achievement for us, and we can't wait to reach more peoples dinner tables with our delicious sauces, making those weeknight dinners convenient & nutritious!

🚨UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT🚨

Soul Bowl has a new Boss running the show now. We'll be pausing all orders/deliveries & markets for the rest of the month to adjust to the Boss's new schedule. Luckily he hasn't been too demanding and barking too many orders at us.......yet

We'll get back to regular service in September with new retail locations, and more markets!

Hi there 👋👋 Seeing as how our very first post was almost 2yrs ago to the day, I figured I am long overdue in properly introducing myself (How rude!) 

I'm Adam Trotchie, owner and chef at Soul Bowl kitchen. I've been a professional Chef here in YYC going on 14yrs. In 2018 I became Certified in Holistic Nutrition through the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. My training in holistic nutrition really opened my eyes to the importance of considering the nutritional value of the foods we eat, and this has played a key role in the creation of Soul Bowl’s line of comfort food sauces.

The name Soul Bowl was cooked up while collaborating on a YouTube cooking series called "Cooking Outside the Harvest Box" with urban farm legend, Kye Kocher () and . This led to the first Soul Bowl products – some healthy, wholesome soups created with local produce and distributed through the YYC growers weekly harvest box.

In March of 2020 I found myself freshly laid off from my job as a Chef when COVID shut us down, wondering what the hell I was gonna do next. The idea came to me to create a line of dairy free comfort food sauces made with clean, whole food ingredients. These sauces would be a refreshing change from most grocery store sauces that are often high in sugar, and/or hard to pronounce ingredients. After creating six plant-based sauces in the first year, the three sauces we are carrying today - Butter Chicken, Alfredo and Rosé – emerged as the clear winners.....Hopefully 1 or 2 of the others will make a comeback soon!

I'd like to say a special THANKS to all of you who have given us a follow, a like, bought a jar of sauce, or became a regular Soul Bowl sauce lover over the last 2 years. Your support has really given me the confidence to keeping going & growing Soul Bowl Kitchen!

And an EXTRA SPECIAL THANKS to all of the food biz entrepreneurs 🙌🙌🙌  for being so kind and helpful with all the questions I've asked. It's much appreciated and will definitely be paid forward.
